This particular review is for the Catalina Cabins Deck rooms that are available thru Two Harbors campground. Our backpacking trip was cut short by the heavy rainstorm this week, so we salvaged our trip by staying just a couple nights in these cabins and doing a day hike to Parson's Landing. Super comfortable rooms that have a fridge and mattress. Communal kitchen and bathrooms with hot showers were amazingly convenient for our group. Bring your own bedding and cookware. I'd highly recommend these primitive rooms if tent camping is not possible but you still want to use Two Harbors as a basecamp for Catalina exploration.

I stayed in a cabin tent for one night and I liked it a lot! The location was exceptional. Incredible sunset view from the cabin I was with access to the beach. You do need to be able to hike 10 minutes on a trail to access the campsite but Ive heard they can shuttle your bags? It's very easy to find the campground from the doc, there is marking along the way. I got confused by the campground map and walked all around the campground to find my cabin. (section letters is different than the cabin letter). It got windy at night and the scratches around the tent to hold the window flaps and the door flap were not holding anything so a lot of wind came through. The door flap was not touching the ground in the first place but there was a mosquito net to hold the critters out (hopefully?) The camp beds were actually very comfortable! I loved that there was an outdoor stove and light on the porch with a chair and a little side table. That was really good to be able to chill out there and watch the sunset, read a book... Fresh water, outdoor shower and restroom on site. Restrooms are not the cleanest but I was not expecting anything more or less, it's a campground after all... Overall I had a nice stay!

We stayed in the campground for one night before the Catalina Marathon. The walk to the campground was steep both ways for the location of our campsite. We were in a great location near the beach and facilities. Slept great listening to the waves, sea mammals, and foxes. It was off-season so it was quiet, which was nice. The general store and restaurant were both wonderful as well. It wasn't necessarily inexpensive for three of us, but it would have been very economical if we had a larger party. I would definitely like to come back again.

These accommodations are horrible. The port a potties are overflowing with waste, just talked to one of the workers and was told they are getting cleaned until tomorrow! The light in the cabin doesn’t work and the lantern they supplied us with doesn’t work either. The "shower" by the port a potties doesn’t have a door and if you want to use the one by the restaurant you have to walk a half a mile and pay for the shower. Definitely not worth the high price. Better off just camping below in a tent. The cots they provide you with are so hard you feel like you are sleeping on a piece of wood.

I am currently camping at two harbors. I attest that the restrooms at the campground are horrendously dirty. Few of the stalls have toilet paper or hand sanitizer in the bins. The toilets are disgustingly dirty, looks like they are full, and no one has done anything about this for months. I have not once seen staff maintaining the stalls. We are next to 2 campers who squat right on their campground site and urinate. Does not care who sees them. Obviously, they do not care that the campground spot will eventually smell like urine for the next campground site users. I just hope she uses the stalls for having a bowel movement. I have read some past reviews and it been an ongoing issue for this campground. Two Harbors response is we will take your comment to improve, but, let me tell you, they have done NOTHING to improve the nasty situation about this ongoing issue with the disgusting stalls. Please two harbors have more respect for your customers. Do better!!!!

Amazing campground. They help shuttle your bags to your campsite if ya want. Did some spearfishing. Most beautiful water in SoCal 🤙🏻 general store is super convenient and has a lot of what you would need. Can pack light on food if you want. Is pricy but very convenient. This is not a hotel. It’s a campground.

The only saving grace of this campground is the location. Everything else is owned by the Conservancy, so it’s a monopoly. And that’s where the problems start. 1. There is no privacy. If you are neighbors with talkative drunks or backpackers who arrive in the middle of the night, good luck! 2. The bathrooms are atrocious. The campsite has no competition, so they have no pressure to improve their facilities. 3. The facilities are infested with bugs and spiders and all manner debris and trash. The roads are poorly maintained and have no illumination at night. If you don’t have headlamps, you’re outta luck. One small shining light of hope is the visitor center and the "village" where there’s a general store and places where you charge your electronics. Otherwise, Two Harbors is better off skipped or left for those with alternative accommodations. Do not camp here.
