Castaic Lake State Recreation Area

My husband's fav place for day out. Lol. This lake is Very quite and peaceful. I have been there for Countless times. So been experienced all season including fall. There are few maple tree so perfect for photography too.

Lovely spot to visit locally when you need a day to be around a body of water.. it’s quite popular but the beach and park are large enough to find a private area without crowding. Clean sand, clear water- just be wary of the little surprises the ducks leave behind

We are a state guide found on IG/FB @localboyzfish Today we caught almost 20 Bass all catch and release. We chased boils and feeding frenzies and finished by 12:30a. West side entrance beutiful placed to be with family, they have tables and grills. Parking cars only $12 with trailer and inspection $25 well woth it to relax and enjoy a beutiful view , if your into fishing this will be your spot

Beautiful country side just outside LA with so much areas to park and have picnics or special outdoor events. Lake is huge and restrooms are well maintained.

My partner and I had an excellent time exploring here. The lake is beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed a nice and easy, 1 mile hike along the lake. We then had a picnic and continued exploring the beautiful mountains that surrounded us. We absolutely LOVE it here and will be spending many weekends here. So gorgeous. Photos don't do it justice! We also got a kick outta the payphone, because we had no idea those things were still around. 💝

Great place for a quick weekend getaway! Booking a spot online was super easy. It's fairly clean. Has restrooms, showers, and a sink, so it's great for kids and easy glamping! There is also a good-sized ring for a fire pit - bring plenty of wood! There is 24hr fishing with a beautiful view. Def recommend and can't wait to go again!
