Cottages At James Island County Park

We were so impressed with our cottage! For the price, location, cleanliness, and park amenities it really doesn’t get much better. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable (and very clean!) and the cottage always stayed nice and cool! We will absolutely will return! The park employees were kind and helpful. The park was clean and peaceful.

Came out and stayed for a victory fellowship church ladies retreat " 🐝 bee a woman of purpose" We had a great time, loved our cabin, the pic nic area, the staff that we came in contact oth etc. Looking forward to the next time

The cottage was so spacious and had magnificent views from the screened in porch. We didn't want or need another thing, this cottage was FULLY equiped. We spent five days here, wishing we could live here!

We absolutely love staying in these cottages and feel they are a great value! The marsh views are wonderful with peaceful nature sounds to enjoy from the screened porch. Some of the cottages have better views than others but overall the park is so beautiful! This was our third year staying here and we were happily surprised at the upgrades to the kitchen! All new appliances, countertops, cabinets and a dishwasher plus brand new cookware and utensils- yay! They also replaced the screens on the porch, though the pesky squirrels had already begun chewing holes in those. All of these improvements came without a price increase, much appreciated 🙂 Also, the Queen mattresses are comfortable!! Nice new thick pillows too. The only downside is spotty Wi-Fi! Even when connected to it, my phone was useless. I had to use my data instead which was no big deal. But you may want to bring your own hotspot if internet is really necessary for you! Otherwise, use it as an excuse to ignore work emails and social media and go explore the beautiful park, downtown Charleston or Folly Beach (both about 15 minutes away).

Not as clean as it should be. The screened porch looked like it hadn't been swept in a year. The beds are horrible lumpy, made my back sore, they need to be replaced. The pillows on all the beds were tiny and flat as pancakes, they seriously need to be replaced. The sofa was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. The kitchen supplies were very scarce and not even a corkscrew! The oven was dirty with cheese spilled and obviously wasn't checked. That being said; the view was stunning!! The area was so peaceful and the staff were as nice as they could be, We will becoming back, although I will be sure and bring pillows and a blow up mattress!! Price was very reasonable.

Great place. Cabins are Large, clean, and very nice!

Cottage 6 was perfect for our family vacation. Clean, efficient, comfortable and a stellar view.
