Charlestown Breachway

Visited on January 17th (my birthday). It was beautiful. There was a big parking lot (it is the off season, I do not know how busy it is in the summer). The old shipwreck was visible because of the winter erosion on the beach. Mostly sandy with some cool rocks. I have never visited in the summer. Highly recommend for a nice winter walk on the beach.

Great campground. Kid-friendly with an awesome view. The boat access is very accessible. Nice staff. Downsides: no hookups or water to fill tanks. You have to get water at Burlingham campground, 10 minutes away.

Beautiful and serene when people are courteous and don’t run generators for 12 hours straight especially in other neighboring campers outdoor living space. This is a health hazard and should be regulated better by the staff. If you can dry camp, conserve water, conserve battery/solar power and run your generator responsibly with consideration to others then this is a beautiful place. If you can’t and need air conditioning all day then go to a campground you can plug into.

Was disappointed when first pulled in since you don't have water view for most sites. The last mile plus in is really rough since you're driving on sand packed road. But once set up I enjoyed it cause it's a short distance to walk the beach. Beach is nice and quiet. Had group of musicians close by but loved their music and the campground staff enforced quiet hours. The sites are close but I've had much worse. I would stay again with low costs. No amenities but location makes up for it.

It is the ocean beach and area around it is gorgeous. Several good restaurants in the area too.

This beach holds a special place in my heart...Best beach it's so clean blue water. It's just very beautiful at the breachway.

No dogs, broken pothole filled road leads to a rocky poorly maintained beach full of karens and people who want to pretend to be homeless with their Porsche. I would give it negative stars if I could.
