Otay Lakes County Park

Very clean family oriented park. Lots a bbq grills and 4 gazebo’s for rent. Staff is friendly and accommodating. $5 fee for parking. Entrance is free if you walk or bicycle in.

Nice place for a hike. Nice views and well marked trails. There is a trail past the dam that seems to get squeezed next to a cliffs edge that felt a little dangerous however.

This is place where my family and I just go AAAAHHHH!! and breathe to prepare the the challenges coming ahead, we can go here and go for a very nice hike, or just sit down in the really nice loinge chairs or grass and just soak in the beautiful surroundings.... highly recommend this place to all walks of life

It's a gorgeous place for a visit, a party, Walk or a picnic. Scenic with a large lake view, bathroom facilities that are maintained, covered areas for rent and a playground for kids. Tons of grass to sit on and enjoy. Park service people are often around monitoring for any difficulty or needs people have. It's a little drive to it but worth it when you get there. You can get a permit for a large covered area with tables for a fee and approx 7 hr block. Very enjoyable place.

Absolutely beautiful and amazing to spend some quality time with your kids and family. It also has some hiking trails in case you want to hike to some wild areas around the park and the park has some good play areas for your kids to have fun on. I totally recommend you visit this park. Trust me, it’s the most beautiful park I have ever seen in Chula Vista so far and it’s great for family reunions/parties and to go for a break from city pollution. Greetings to San Diego parks and recreation plus other organizations who have made this beautiful and amazing park. I totally appreciate their finished product which was made with care and by passionate hands of workers, rangers and environmentalists.

Really nice clean park. Beautiful views of the lake. Lots of hiking trails to choose from. Wasn't alot of ppl thr surprisingly for a Sunday. Picnic tables, BBQ, a playground for the kids. Nice area to hve a bday party, or a family get together. Bathrooms are super clean. Well maintained. Cost 3 dollars to get in. I believe it's open till 10pm, but hiking trails close at 6pm.

I love this park. Parking is $3 which gives you access to a beautiful clean park with gorgeous breathtaking lakeside views and rich wildlife. Really fun to set up a tripod with binoculars for birding. We heard and saw 3 red shouldered hawks flying together! It’s also really fun to watch and listen to the cormorants out on the water. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. They are single private bathrooms unlike the unclean stall-less bathrooms at any other park in Chula Vista. Cute little playground with a gazebo that’s great for parties, families, and children as well. They also have a small walking trail.
