Riverland Campground

An unforgettable family experience! Our entire family — more than 30 people — spent the best day of the year at the Cabin at Riverland, and it exceeded all our expectations. The cabin is luxurious, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with more than enough room for a very large family like ours. Surrounded by beautiful nature, calm landscapes, and the peaceful forest, it truly felt like a private paradise. The space is perfectly designed to enjoy both togetherness and relaxation, offering comfort, privacy, and breathtaking views at the same time. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. Being in the middle of nature while still enjoying top-level comfort made this experience truly special for all generations — kids, adults, and grandparents alike. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, space, tranquility, and nature, especially for big families or group gatherings, this cabin is absolutely perfect. We will treasure these memories forever and would love to come back! Highly recommended! 🌲✨🏡

This was our second stay at Bob and Betty's Eagle Lodge at River Land Campground. The cabin is beautiful with comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces. Bob and Betty have stopped by during both of our visits to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed. Coffee on the deck in the morning and cocktails around the firepit at night can't be beat. Views of the river, and watching the birds and wildlife are very therapeutic. We highly recommend the Eagle Lodge.

This is an awesome place .Have had 3 family reunions here, Bob&Betty are truly amazing people. Check and make sure if we need anything . Beautiful scenery, I did not use the shower house ,but family did that had camper says they were okay. I do hope they build a playground for the little kids. They have a few things, but I would love to see some more things as we have lots of little ones at our reunion. We will be heading back in 2026 . Cabins have pretty much all supplies, 1 family member wish their was a mixer, and it would be great if they had drink cooler. But all in all, it is a great place highly recommended.

So, I think the location is great. Very beautiful, and just outside of town. There are train tracks nearby we could hear them sometimes, but not enough to wake us up, in our camper. We did go in mid April so not peak season, that might explain some of the negatives. I did not see anyone that appeared to work there the whole weekend. When I called on Friday to ask questions, someone did awnser, but if we needed anything while there, I don't think anyone was around to help. My rating would have been higher but the restrooms brought it down. Plus side, they had hot water, that lasted a long time. Now for the negatives. I think they only have one restroom/ bathhouse while we were there someone locked the door to the whole womens side, so I had to wait till they were done showering. In the women's restroom the trash wasn't taken out in the two days we were there, it looked like it had been there a while. There was used cans and take out cups in the last shower stall. Both showers allowed water to escape and make the tile slippery, in the last stall you can tell the subfloor is getting soft from it. And best for last there was a mouse turd on one of the sinks, my husband said the men's side was about the same. At the back of our campsite were tampon applicators, and other trash. I would stay here again, there might be less staff in the off season causing some of the issues we had.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cottonwood Cabin. It’s a beautiful piece of property right on the river with spectacular views. Perfect for large families and events. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating to all your needs. The cabin was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.

This is the best RV park in Columbus. We stayed in RV spot 28. Good location. Nice view of the river. Quite a few trains at night and early morning. Not too bad of you are on the spots by the river. Bathroom has two showers and three toilets. Back toilet and shower is private with a door. Good water pressure. A bit dusty but typical for an RV park. The wood chips around the space are nice but we still got a lot of stickers in our shoes.

We rented the Cottonwood Cabin for Labor Day weekend and our wedding. The river and the cabin were the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, reception and photos! The cabin and surrounding property is so beautiful themselves that very little decorating is needed. The counter top in the cabin is 14ft long and 4 ft wide and we were able to set up a complete nacho bar as well as the dessert/cake all on the island. The massive space of this cabin was perfect for our 60ish guests. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms plus lots of couches and floor space to very very comfortably accommodate 12 over night guests. People are still raving about how beautiful everything was. We even had our own camper at one of the rv sites with guests as well as other guests in rv sites. There could be and will be more trees but if you are a lover of the river, like us, there is no venue in the area that can beat this place. Bob and Betty were wonderful to work with and checked on us several times asking if we needed anything! I would recommend over and over again! Thanks for making our wedding amazing!
