Mustang Island State Park

We stayed in an RV at Mustang Island State Park. The sites are older and a little close together. The setup is a little funky too, because they seem to all be buddy site type of setups, so if you're not careful you are backing into a spot that has all the hookups on the opposite side. Not a big deal of you have a motorhome as you can just pull in. Overall very peaceful. Showers are what you would expect at public campground; wear flip flops. The beach is great for fishing or relaxing.

Mustang Island State Park is a beautiful spot to enjoy the Texas coast! The beach access is excellent — it’s easy to get to the sand and the beaches themselves are wide, clean, and absolutely gorgeous. It’s a great place to relax, take a walk, or just enjoy the ocean breeze. The RV park, while convenient, is more of a parking lot setup than a traditional campground, so don’t expect much privacy or scenery there. However, the location makes up for it — it’s close to Corpus Christi, with plenty of restaurants and shopping just a short drive away. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to visit for the beaches and convenience, especially if you’re looking to explore the area.

Mustang Island State Park was incredible. Wow incredible views you can drive right on the beach and stay overnight in their primitive camping. Rebecca was an incredible host!! I ran into her in the parking lot scoping out the bathroom situation, and she pretty much gave me a tour; explained the payment system and showers, where to drive and park on the beach that was safest, and how to check the tides! She was so welcoming! I will be back for sure and look forward to enjoying this park again!!!!

Rest rooms at office and separate building by campers. Lovely beach area with fine sand . We had an excellent ranger led nature tour for 1 1/2 hours. There was a gift shop at office but unfortunately was closed most of the day.

We had a good time at the park. Rangers were super nice. But it is just a large parking lot. There is some grass. Watch out. for what site you get into?Because a lot of them are backwards for electricity and water. But overall, the beach was nice. And we had a good time.

Mustang Island State Park is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. We stayed at Site #3, which was easy to access and offered a great view — perfect for relaxing or enjoying a walk along the shore. The beach was clean, the water was clear, and the park was well maintained throughout. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was calm and family-friendly. A wonderful spot for a beach getaway.

Great Beach! Love coming here when I'm in Port Aransas water's always great. The beaches are always clean but sometimes busy
