It was so beautiful from up there! I took my pupper dog and she also had a magical time!

The consistent uphill climb can be a bit challenging, but if you push through and reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with a very satisfying view. As you get closer to the top, the path becomes rocky and steeper. It's not considered a particularly difficult hiking course, but I'd rate it as intermediate. Therefore, I recommend having proper hiking shoes and plenty of water. It's one of my favorite trails.

Really sweet hike! Some challenging areas where you need to climb over rocks. Not terribly hard but you will want to wear proper footwear. I found it fun and an appropriate challenge for my level of endurance. I wouldn’t jump into hiking and think you will be able to complete this trail. You may want to start walking and build up to this hike. There is an easier trail you can take as well. My friend found himself making many stops and turned around from the intermediate trail. He was also wearing "Hey Dudes". Sunrise was beautiful when I went, we had a some Smokey condition from local forest fires. The colors about 30 minutes before the sun came up were amazing. I should have documented more but sometimes you just have to live the moment.

Such a beautiful hike! The sunset from the summit was breathtaking. I will say, however, that this is NOT a family friendly or a beginner's hike! It is uphill the entire time with lots of steps at the top (and no handrail) I'll be back, but much more prepared!

Nice hike, beginning is the steepest, then easy trail, then some rock stairs. My 3 year old has hiked this trail with me multiple times. It's a great family hike! It's pretty busy but once at the top it is gorgeous and tons of rocks to lounge on and take in the beauty while not having to be right next to someone else.

Beautiful from the bottom all the way to the top. My first time I traveled through Eugene, I could only make it 1/2 way up. When I traveled through Eugene, OR about a month ago, I just had to stop and achieve my goal of making it all the way to the top. My pup and I did it. It took about 3 hours to make it up, but we did and it was very worth it. My pup and I both have short legs, plus Zoe likes to stop and literally smell everything and make sure that nobody or nothing is behind us. She also has to stop and say hi or bye to anyone going up or down the hike. There is a huge parking lot, handicapped accessible spots to park. There are portable toilets, the trails are clearly visible and maintained. There’s signage when you start of a few different trails and their levels of ease or hardness. The trail we took was very well maintained, various spots to move to one side or the other for traffic. A view site with a bench, a marker with how far you’ve got left to go. At the top theirs stairs and they are steep, but so worth it. Once you get to the top you can see everything and it’s beautiful. Of course I didn’t know what anything was, because I’m not from there. Definitely worth the hike. Take a lot of water, a pack, your dog, kids, spouse or friends. Y’all won’t be disappointed.

A stellar little park near Eugene with well-maintained and marked trails, beautiful views, and a blend of difficulties (though nothing technical). It’s a great out and back and can be done in just about any conditions.
