I had an absolutely incredible experience at Campit. I was a female camping alone, and all of the other campers and staff made me feel so safe and included. I literally slept like a baby both nights I was there. Everyone was so friendly, there were lovely camping spots (I stayed in Creekside), and there are good facilities. There was a perfect balance between the serenity of being outdoors with a communal aspect that made me feel safe even while alone. I'd love to come stay in one of their cabins next summer when it's warm enough to swim in the pool!

My boyfriend and I have come to Campit for three years in a row with my dog during the week in late fall and it’s become a tradition we really look forward to. The cabin is simple, clean, and has the support you need for a few days of camping. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and inclusive — it’s just a great place to relax and recharge. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

Amazing queer campground and experience. The campground itself is nice. There are both electric and non-electric tent sites, cabins, and RV hookup sites. A heated pool and various indoor/outdoor event areas. What really makes the experience amazing though are both the themed weekend programming, and especially the people. Everyone has been incredibly friendly when I've attended and I've never had an experience like this anywhere else. Would highly recommend. And if you enjoy rustic tent camping and want a quieter spot, Creekside is great!

I was a bit nervous staying there as a straight couple. I love all people and accept everyone but I feel like I maybe invading someone's safe space and I would never want to do that. Everyone was a joy to be around and very friendly and easy to get along with. The amenities are amazing. I loved that our cabin came with a golf cart that we could use anytime we wanted. The pool was so relaxing and really just an amazing hang out spot. Our cabin was great and comfortable for the three days we were there. We were on the pond so there were amazing views and we got to see the turtles and feed them. It was all around a great experience and I definitely recommend it. We stayed during the week so I cannot speak for weekends. We heard it can get pretty crazy on the weekends. We very much enjoyed our time there and the staff was super helpful and accommodating as well.

I have been a loyal customer of Campit since I was 21, and now at 35, I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience July 2025. I booked a group reservation for my birthday celebration for Christmas in July 2025, hosting over 50 friends and family. My friend Ollie was registered to stay in a tent with me, but when we tried to add him to a bunkhouse room that was already paid for, Campit charged him over $200, which is absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, after I had all my guests book and pay the high price, the weekend was suddenly changed to a music festival weekend, which I was not interested in. Nothing was done to address this issue either. For a campground that charges this much, more effort should be put into taking care of guest needs. If this continues, you're at risk of losing loyal customers like myself, as many campers may choose to visit other campgrounds in Michigan or Indiana that are more transparent about costs and have lower fees. Campit, please do better!

I have camped at camp it many times in the past but it's been a few years. Was happy to see a few updates. After checking in around 430, getting set up, we needed ice so walked down to the"store" only to find it was already closed forcing us to drive into town just to get ice.. most camp grounds I believe have better store hours. Was woke up at 950am to the sound of skill saws, hammering, and drilling from the seasonal lot next to us... I feel that was very inconsiderate of a seasonal camper to do that.... Not in a big hurry to return here.

Our stay was Horrible. I hesitated to book our stay. The cabin was more ($600 for 3 nights) than a nice hotel room, closer to Saugatuck. I booked it to support a Gay Business. What a disappointment. We booked a "cabin" we got a horrible, filthy garden shed. Complete with dirt and bugs! We would have left immediately but I knew we had prepaid for the weekend. We stayed the first night. We left early and spent the whole day in Saugatuck, which we enjoyed. We returned to the "camp" late. We went down to the pool but it just reminded us of a bar. No one was swimming (it was late around 12). We did meet the couple in the next cabin and enjoyed that. They too complained about their accommodations. We left early Sunday morning, although we had paid to stay until Monday. We got a hotel room, took LONG showers and washed all of our clothes. This was definitely a One and Done for us. Nearly Ruined out two week trek around Lake Michigan.
