Horsetooth Reservoir

We love Horsetooth! One of our absolute favorite places to go to. Gorgeous views of the mountains on either side, many little inlets that are great to fish in or even just hangout. People wise, the rangers are always nice and helpful as well as all the other staff. We’ve never had a problem here whether it be on the water or at the campsite. Quick and easy to get in. Fills up fast though! Absolutely avoid on the weekends, you will NOT get in unless you go before 7 or 8am or after 4/5pm.

What a beautiful reservoir this is. Park rangers are friendly and always making sure people are being safe. Especially making sure boaters are doing what they're supposed to be doing. Parking is a little difficult sometimes but I highly recommend this reservoir if you're tired of Cherry Creek and Chatfield.

My first time her and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Fajitas and my partner order the Ribeye stake and both dishes were excellent. I’m Hispanic and my partner is Australian so we know good food! The Sashimi appetizer was excellent!

Always a must do! We were visiting from Colorado Springs and we love going to the reservoir for fishing and walking. It is very beautiful!

Very nice sight, cabins looked alright. I did see more than one park ranger pull over a elderly couple. I'm not sure what businesses they had. But seemed inappropriate and a violation of our rights but most people don't know better. Won't be going here again.

Great driving loop, bodacious hiking trails and a stellar views… don’t miss it. 🌲🗻⛵️🎣
