Great county campground. It is clean and there is water and electricity. The sites are a nice size. It is about 30 minutes from the Anaphee Trailhead, which is a great hiking/ biking trail. There is a nice playground and a jumping pillow for the kids. There is also a nice beach on Lake Michigan.
The campground is pretty nice. Was great to be able to get an electric site on first come first serve basis. Pretty well wooded sites as well. Definitely not as wooded or secluded as "up north" Just a few things made me have to remove a couple of stars. The water is " in-between" sites, however our shared water spigot was more on the edge of our neighbors site than halfway between them. Was a bit awkward and made me feel like I was intruding on their site whenever I needed water. Probably wouldn't be a big deal if you're in a camper and just have to hook a hose to it once. The other issue I had was the lack of enforcement of quiet time. The host/ranger came around basically right at 10 pm to make sure people were quiet...once. After they drove away people got loud again, playing loud games and yelling. We also had someone riding a motorcycle well after midnight.
Nice campground. We were in site 15. Only thing that would have made it better would have been if there was less noise from the nearby highway. There was a trail toward the beach with multiple overlook viewing spots and some bench swings which I thought was kind of nice. Then a winding trail down to the beach area walking along some pretty cool rock ledges. Somewhat difficult trail - rocky and uneven but very doable. There might have been another easier trail but we didn't look for it. Showers and bathrooms pretty clean. Playground and bounce pad looked fun.
We were so pleasantly surprised by our trip here! We got a rustic site, and they were huge and private, we could have fit a whole additional tent and neighbors aren’t right next to you. The entire grounds are clean and quiet, and the jump pad and playground are a blast. The beach hike is a little further than we expected, but added to the fun (and you can drive if not up to the hike!). Overall a beautiful stay, we’ll absolutely be back.
The space for the camper was more than enough to give privacy, the fire pit was well designed and useful, they sell the wood through machinery so you can use card or cash. Beautiful and quiet campground with access to a beautiful small beach. We loved the swings looking towards the water at sunrise and sunset
It’s a wonderful park, very well maintained and an extremely helpful camp host! The only drawback I noticed is the highway noise. I tend to be kinda picky about quiet so most probably don’t really even notice.
The price is a little high for what the camp has, but the whole area is on the expensive side. $32 a night for power and water. Dump station on site, only one and there was short lines during peak check out times. Camp hosts were nice. Showers were awful, not hot at all. Laundry was good, $1 wash ,$1 dry. I was worried it was going to be loud on the weekend because the camp filled up, but it wasn't loud at all! The playground and bounce pillow was fun for the kids. The hike down to the lake was good. Sites were a little tight to get into, but it is a forest. A little road noise, not too much though. Camp is close to Green Bay (15 minutes).
