My wife and I booked campsite number 101 for our tent. Great first impressions! We loved the entrance to the campground. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and the shower facilities were clean and roomy. My only complaint is about the water. It had a strong metallic taste and smell. There was also no sink for washing dishes. The campground is built for RVs, and it only offers three spots for tents. We stayed in the first walk-in spot for tents. It was nice being surrounded by the woods and very close to the bathroom. It's a good spot for small tents, up to a four-person tent maximum. The ground is uneven; you can tell the spot is pretty new. There are fire pits and a picnic table for the site. The place was quiet, the people were friendly and nice, but at night it gets pretty exotic. You can hear lions going crazy throughout the night, and in the morning you can hear people shooting at the range with AR-15s. The place is perfect for RV campers with kids.
Great place to camp! Easy booking/reservation online. The sites are a great size and there are a lot of trees which helps with privacy. The power and water at the site both worked well and we had no issues. The bathroom was clean and the staff did a great job keeping up with cleaning and restocking during the busy Labor Day weekend. The shower was spacious and had plenty of privacy and hot water. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful (Go Pack Go!). We'll definitely be coming back here to camp again!
Stayed in site 103 which was a "walk in" camp site but hardly a walk from the parking lot right next to it. Bathrooms were nice, flush toilets, and clean 3showers accessed from the front. The guys had 2stalls and a urinal with 1 stall being handicap accessible. The only down side is it felt more like an RV park than a campground as most of the sites were RV focused and the first part where we stayed was all very young trees and open across the entire camp which I don’t care for. Though farther back and to the west seems to have more trees and maybe better separation between the sites. Even with a full camp I never saw much of a line for the bathrooms or the showers during the bike race weekend so that was good, maybe one or two people waiting for a shower never the bathroom.
It was better than I thought. Camp sites are spacious, with grass & are nicely hidden from each other with trees. Most sites have water & electric, picnic table & nice fire-pits. Two bathroom buildings with showers, modern & clean. Very nice bike & walking trails. Within walking distance of zoo. Has camp host, friendly & helpful. For some reason, Wisconsin county parks are not well-staffed on labor-day holiday. It has some nice picnic areas near the lodge. The distinctive sound of lions roaring can be heard each morning from the nearby zoo, lol.
Fantastic new campground! Clean, level gravel pads! Great bike, hike, and horse trails in the forest. 30, 50 amp and water + electric OR full hookups! Will be back!
Peaceful roomy sites, electric and water available tent sites available upon online reservation. The bike trails are great. There are single track and 2 way trails for all skill levels . Adventure park and zip-line, New Zoo , Mini Golf in walking distance. Pet friendly and inexpensive.
Was a beautiful place to camp! Just a short drive from Green Bay, you can even hear animals from the nearby zoo at night! Easy access to the zoo and hiking trails. They have firewood for sale for $5 a bundle. Clean bathrooms and a nice playground. Would highly recommend!
