Way Back Campground

We’ve been camping here ourselves for 3 years now & my family has been camping for much longer. such a lovely, peaceful place & we have truly created a family with the owners and those who camp there as well. it’s always an absolute blast. very welcoming and these people would truly do anything to help you out with whatever it is you need. they go out of their way constantly just to make sure everyone enjoys their experience. whether it’s a relaxing getaway or a camp party, you will definitely have the option of either. we’ve loved the environment so much that my husband & i actually decided to get married here this past year. they worked so hard not only the day of, but for weeks and months before, just to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. and it was just that. absolutely perfect. they helped with so much. decor, set up, tear down, clean up, EVERYTHING. these people are truly amazing and if you’re blessed enough to camp here and get to know these people, it’s truly an amazing honor. i recommend this establishment to ANYONE who camps. its truly amazing and we love everyone there :))

This was our first time and we will definitely be back. Nice clean campground. The bathhouse was nice and clean. The cabins are so adorable. We had a big group of 20 and everyone was so friendly. The owners definitely make you feel welcome. There was a chill cook off. Great band to end the night. The pavilion is absolutely gorgeous. The community fire pit was perfect to hang out with the out back community. Thank you way back we can't wait to come back!!!

This was my 3rd time here camping. I like the spots down by the river. I did remember the spring when I camped 12 years ago but would be nice if they would make a camping spot right next to the spring. The river felt like it was around 70 degrees while the water coming from the spring was around 35 to 45 degrees. Just think the sound of water running all night next to the tent would be very calming and a stress reliever. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes camping out but really can't go deep in the woods. I will go back again when I get up to Michigan again.

Small hidden campground, would recommend kayaking down the river and not tubing. Had a great time and they had a beautiful fireworks for Fourth of July. Had a wonderful time with the family.

We have been here twice. The owners are great! Very relaxing and nice, inexpensive get-away! Would highly recommend!

This was our first time, but it definitely won't be our last!!! Super clean, tons of fun, and truly great people! The owners were above and beyond accommodating. Can't wait to go again!!

The hospitality of the owners can not be matched. They're very helpful and knowledgeable and just overall good people. Although I was only there for a short time, I felt like I was part of the Way Back Family.
