Quarry Trail Campground

Great place to boondocks. No electric or on sites water. Yet . Still being developed but 12+ really nice spots. Cool views at the lower numbers. Quieter on the back (8-12) . Enjoyed a nice walk on the quarry trail path. Impressed by the patios, picnic tables and landscaping. Perfect for smaller rigs, truck campers. The drive in might be usuitable for a full size class A, or even some long and low C's. Cash was appreciated.

My fiancé and I have been on a road trip for about 3 weeks now and have stayed in 5+ campgrounds over 4 states and this is by far the best one we have stayed at. The owner is the definition of what southern hospitality means and the property is beautiful. The campsites are so spread out you pretty much have complete privacy and the quarry is only a 5-10 minute walk. Anything you could possibly need is within a 10 minute drive. 100% recommend and 100% will be back.

We called late to see if they had any spots available and the owner was so nice and very helpful! Great spot that is close to the city (you will hear some city noise) but our stay was great and the owner is doing some great work there. We camped in our rooftop tent and he had a little private area for us to camp and it was perfect!

One of the gentlemen who guards these campgrounds is incredibly hostile and condescending. I came from out of town, got lost trying to find an ideal parking area for the quarry and ended up here. I drove to the top, hoping to find a friendly face and some help. Was met with belligerency and left feeling frightened and uneasy. I admit fault that I didn't see the private property sign, but instead of being kindly redirected, or asked to leave kindly, I left feeling threatened.

What a great weekend get away. Came here to get away for the weekend from Florida. Lovely family oriented can't compliment this place enough.

Beautiful hole in the, and absolutely gem. Came up her to enjoy a concert from south Florida. I love primitive camping and this place made me feel like being in the Ritz. It has a great outlook into south Knox. Easy access to some beautiful trails up to and around the Quarry. It was closed while we where visiting. However there was another quarry 4 miles away about 13 minutes for 5 dollars a car load. There is a porta potty, and it was as clean as a whistle. Impressed me, and I've been in some outhouses or none. Good clean water to drink or clean with. 5 out of 5 Jess and her family have done some amazing work. Beautiful sites, well maintained. Thank you having us can't wait to come back. ~Jess

We reserved a spot at the camp, the staff is very friendly the facilities are top-notch. I needed an electric hookup so we didn't end up camping here, however if I didn't need electric this spot is close to downtown, has great views, and the price is right Highly recommend
