Ed Allen's Campgrounds

The campground is good for the price. The staff have always been great and helpful. The campsites offered are both shaded and some more open. Some of the amenities like the bathhouse are outdated, and you are not going to find a WiFi signal anywhere. Wifi wouldn't be an issue but my phone also struggles with a signal. The staff always has fun events going on that the kids love. My recommendations for improvement would be an update on the bath house, a small bath house by red/white oaks cabins, and maybe a shaded spot around the playground. We have been coming for years and it's always a great time.

We stayed in a campsite with our camper. The grounds and facilities were very clean and well taken care of. There's a restaurant on the property that was very good as well. The campsite was graveled with a picnic table. We will definitely stay again!

This is a very family oriented campground. Always something for the kids to do.

The same as my other 2 visits. I went to meet with the owner Whitney and was told she was not there. So I waited a couple of hours 5pm was coming up so I went back up to the office and said it doesn't look like she is coming in does it and the lady said no I told her I really needed to talk to her and the lady said well she is going out of town tomorrow morning for 11 days and I have to I'll have to wait till then to talk to her. and she is the only that can help me me.

Stayed here several times. a whole month also. Absolute best campground we have been to. Always a fun time had by all. Undoubtedly the best camp host/owners we have ever met. Super polite and caring staff, Awesome place to fish in the ponds. Near the lake. And just a great feeling overall.

Quiet clean campgrounds. It was my first trip in my camper. I loved it so much I am storing it there for frequent visits. The lady in the shop was super nice and chipper all of the time. I will need to learn what the fish like to eat though - lots of fish but nothing took my hook. Looking forward to the next relaxing weekend.

Spent a very hot weekend in July. Thankfully camping spots offer lots of shade. This campground is a lot quieter then others we have visited this summer, more mature campers and less children (or at least by us). Having 4 kids with us, this was not ideal. Seems to be more seasonal campers and some near us cursed at one of our sons, acting like they owned the place. Staff is friendly. Cabins looked cute. Pool was beautifully landscaped. View of the lake was great. Two ponds to fish in. Bath house & wash area were very well kept. Close drive to Williamsburg. They had a nice little concert Saturday night & I understand they do activities each weekend.
