Sunset Park is one of the best spots in Las Vegas for a relaxed day outdoors. The picnic areas are clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of trash cans throughout, which really helps keep the park looking great. The playground is fantastic, with lots of activities that keep the kids entertained and active. It’s a great place for families to gather, unwind, and enjoy some fresh air. Highly recommend for an easy, enjoyable day at the park!
The park had a playground and a nice walking trail around the lake. The kids had such a fun time riding the swings and going down the slides. There were lots of ducks in the park. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of parking available.
If you want to to a break from the hustle and bustle, Sunset Park is a nice tranquil place you can visit. A leisurely stroll around the large lake, or just sitting on one of the many park benches offers a peaceful serene setting. The parks offers plenty of parking , along with baseball fields, and courts for tennis, volleyball, and pickle ball. The restrooms and the grounds were clean. And the ducks are friendly. The park is centrally located, and its free!
Went fishing in the lake located near the center of the park. The park was somewhat busy and there were plenty of other people fishing as well, but all keeping a friendly distance. The park is huge, as it has amenities for baseball, sand volleyball, pickleball, and softball. There are also bathrooms throughout the park as well as ample parking.
Very large and beautiful park area to walk around and enjoy or to get in your daily run. There are multiple playgrounds, covered eating areas, and even a separate dog park with multiple sections for different size dogs. The geese here are friendly and do not attempt to chase you. There are wide pipe areas if you want to throw frisbee or football. There is also a baseball field. I think it would be ideal to have a paved sidewalk all around the water but it is only paved in sections. That may make it troublesome for some to enjoy up close. There is also a special lookout area that is done up with rock columns which is nice to enjoy.
I've driven past the park a million times but had no idea how huge it is. We went to the Renaissance fair and had a great time. The weather was perfect too and didn't know there was a lake in there!
We've been hanging out at the large-dog dog park at Sunset. And it's a great park. Well maintained. People are friendly and watching out for their dogs and going by the rules that are posted on the fence which is awesome.I've always liked Sunset Park.
