Narrows Campground

We stayed in the Upper Narrows campground (spot 3). The scenery is beautiful but that can be said at most of the campgrounds along the Poudre. This was our first stay here, and I most likely wouldn't go back. Pros: 1) There are lots of places to hike, fish and bike around the area. Nothing at the campground but lots to do around it. 2) Our site was right off the Poudre and we could walk to it and put our feet in. 3) We were able to buy firewood from the people that managed the campsite (they were called Vista Recreation and had a camp host setup at Dutch George). It was $9 a bundle and we just told them we wanted two and they delivered it to us. Cons: 1) The bathroom was quite full (not of people). They would spray down the inside of the restrooms, but not open the lid and wash anything on the toilet. 2) Our firepit was full of ash. It was almost to the top. 3) There is a very busy street right by the campground and people will yell to wake people up. Gotta love these types. Overall, we were disappointed in the lack of maintenance to this campground. The spots are close so there is very little privacy, which we knew going in and that's usually not an issue for us.

Truley a beautiful location...i dont like how open and close the camp spaces are. there not really any privacy but awesome overlook of the river and huge granite(i think) rock to enjoy water rushing how the canyon....ratllesnakes are a doozie there tho watch out.

Beautiful spot. Tent only campsites are gorgeous. Rv camper spots each had own little spots to access river. Really peaceful

Nice spot near the river where the road noise is drowned out by the water when it is flowing strong. Not much shade or privacy even though the walk in sites are well spaced.

I've never stayed at the campground, this is a review of the picnic area. Pulling into the campground the picnic area is to the right. Several sites along the river that don't seem to get much use. Because it's alongside the campground I suspect most people don't realize it's there.

Beautiful spot! Had an amazing trip with the kids. Clean bathrooms. One of our top trips and will be back for sure. Bring lots of strong bug spray though, black biting flies are crazy. Agree with other review about camp host in summer of 2023… he is not really raking out the sites between guests. As a camper we leave it cleaner than we found it every time

This visit will be our last at a top favorite campground, I’m afraid. There just isn’t any shade for the sites closer to the river, and there is a lot of foot traffic around the sites further away from the river where there are trees. This year, the campground host is doing nothing but cleaning the bathrooms and changing out the reservation signs at each site. He is not raking or keeping the paths up, so it looks rough and neglected. What a shame. It used to be very nice.
