Lupin Lodge

This was my first experience at such a resort and it was fantastic! Geographically, its a beautiful place. Rochelle(i think that was her name) who got me registered at the check in office, was wonderful and kind. Made me feel very welcome. She told me a little bit about the long history of Lupin while she got me all signed up. Once inside and parked, I nervously shed my clothes in the parking lot and within 10 minutes felt at ease and comfortable. The other visitors and residents were friendly and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. Amazing upper deck for tanning. My favorite part was hiking on the trails on the mountain! Will definitely be back!

If you enjoy serenity amongst beautiful trees and being naked, then this is the place for you. Very rustic, no frills but a clean pool, nice bathroom and shower area and lounge chairs. There's a restaurant on site too. Lots of lawn areas to lounge in too if you don't want to be around the pool. People are very friendly too.

Made this seventy five year old the happiest time of my life. The staff was super friendly. I was somewhat apprehensive but once i drop the bathing suit and met some quest that were so kind This is the most amazing place. Hate have to leave and go back to Atlanta Georgia..

Weirdest experience I’ve ever had. I did volunteer work for a few months. This was a few years ago so hopefully things have improved. Please do your own research and vetting before going. I had a blast and met some nice folks but saw some sketchy stuff. This is all just an opinion, based on my experience and observation, and not necessarily factual. I want to give credit where it’s due. This place has an amazing history. One can read about some of it on the website. It used to be great but has degraded over time. It’s a beautiful property but check for infractions from the health dept, fire marshall, police, etc. I think the owner is a good person but out of their depth running a business and has perhaps allowed criminals and homeless drug addicts to live there in exchange for free labor. Maybe that’s why some of the reviews talk of rude, surly staff. I wonder if they are working under any labor laws? Some are just lost souls. I would NEVER remove my clothing there, and it’s a "nudist resort"? The vibe is fun but feels sort of creepy and insular. They have fun events but unfortunately it doesn’t seem safe for many reasons: risk of harm from disrepair, filth and rubbish (some areas look like a garbage dump). Risk of harm from bad behavior. If you’re a naturist looking for a pristine, sacred and protected space…maybe not your jam.

Great place. Very large and nice trails. The pool could have been a bit cleaner but the bathrooms were clean.

I went there a few times and enjoyed it. When I went to a healing arts event I had some bad experiences that make me never want to go again. I was touched inappropriately by one of the kitchen staff. And all during the event there were people with their phones out walking around making recordings. I'm sure I was recorded at least twice without any consent before I just put on clothes the rest of the event. Real downer as the owner is a nice person and most of the people were friendly.

This place is an oasis in the Santa Cruz mountains, and we have been loving it for many years. We go there to perform comedy to soak to eat great food to make friends and strengthen community. A must go place if you love nature and peaceful life!
