Barr Camp is definitely an iconic experience half way to the summit. The camp is beautiful and well maintained. Maggie was hiking from town when we were there but Seth was a great host! She was back in time to make spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner-which was delicious, by the way-We stayed in a lean to however, even though the lean to was great and weather proof, after being there, a cabin would have been a nice option. Would definitely recommend and stop on our next adventure to the top!

Barr Camp is an awesome experience you should not pass up! We love the staff, the tasty food (spaghetti and’s homemade bread for dinner need to pay extra and pancakes for breakfast included) and the sleeping arrangements. We’ve been going now for eight years in a row.

Visited in the winter on the way to the summit. It's a great rest area with some basic food and hot beverages for purchase. The hostel style cabin is great and cozy too! I did not have the offered meals, but those that did were very satisfied with the prepared food. The bathrooms are very clean and had some paper and hand sanitizer in them too (during the winter). If I ever make the summit to Pikes Peak again, I would definitely stay here again!

Barr camp provided a welcome respite after a hard climb on day1 and prepared us for the even harder climb on day2. Accommodations were comfortable and the staff friendly. Dinner was tasty and filling. We skipped breakfast due to an early morning start. The Sherpa service (taking part of your gear down to Manitou springs) really helped reduce my pack weight on day2 and made it a lot more pleasant. Highly recommend this camp but do book early!

We always enjoy going up to Barr Camp, whether to spend the night or just to stop in. The hosts are always gracious and take great care of us. It's starting to get a bit on the pricey side but definitely still well worth the cost for an amazing oasis halfway up Pikes Peak.

Friendly camp staff. Enjoyed the lean-to for camping, and bugs weren't as much of an issue as I thought they might be though there were some mosquitoes around sunset. Loved seeing sunrise through the trees in the morning. And, we loved the all-you-can-eat pancakes breakfast in the morning! Great water source available for filters. And, the bathrooms were well-maintained!

Great stay after a long strenuous hike on Barr Trail. Overall experience heightened by the simple yet tasty spaghetti dinner and the hot pancake breakfast next day. A gem of stay only accentuated by the hosts passion for their hospitality and the passion to serve at such a remote location…
