Oceanside RV Resort has a rating of 4 out of 5 based on over 554 reviews on Google
Both my husband and I agreed that this rv resort is the best "parking lot" rv resort we have stayed at in the country. Spacious sites, privacy fences but they are not claustrophobic, beautiful landscaping, wide roads, easy to navigate, full hookups and safety gates in perfect working order. Easy walk to the beach, downtown, train station etc. Train is close but gets quiet at night. We really enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool. Perfect temperatures and very clean.
We booked our reservation. We paid for it up front for the entire reservation. A month later this company canceled our reservation. Rebooked for half the time. And refunded less than half the money. Completely canceled the contract on their own to get more money. It is so disappointing. We loved taking our family here.
This RV resort is located close to the beach and lots of restaurants, clean and quiet except for the Sprinter trains that blast their horns every 15mins or so. It does stop around 10pm, so that was good. The game room has a small pool table and a couple of arcade games which are fun. I couldn't figure out how to get and of the TV channels to work but there is a TV and some books to read. The pool and jacuzzi looked clean, and the bbq area looked nice. Check-in was easy but the receptionist was busy talking on her cellphone and didn't tell us much and that she was supposed to turn on the power when we checked in. We had to go back to the office to ask why there was no power. As for the RV hookups, that worked well except for the septic access which was about a foot above the ground. Just make sure you have enough risers for your hoses. Other than that, the area is great for accessibility to stores and the beach. Wish there was a half star to add to the rating coz it really deserves a 4.5 stars.
I stayed for 4 months and the facilities / amenities were consistently kept very clean. Large bathrooms with large walk in showers. The management is excellent to work with and communicate with. (Jody, Damon, Ken) Of course, wonderful location. Great for month to month in off season! Came from 1000 Trails and just decided to stay. I do not normally write reviews but because employees worked there did such a wonderful job and it was a comfortable place to temporarily call home 🏡 I had to share. 🧡Elizabeth The only downside is ... THE TRAIN noise!! I never got used to the sound train as early as 5am and as late as 11pm.
The park is exceptionally clean with great amenities. However, our site, #96 was so slanted that we were unable to level up, using everything we had available. It is on nice cement though. There are some level spots in the park and we requested to move since there were many empty spaces, but they weren't available on the days we were there. The park is near the stop light of coast highway, so the traffic noise (drag racing at 2 am) kept us awake. And then there is the train! It stops running at midnight and resumes about 6 am with whistle blaring. It comes by about every thirty minutes. Bring earplugs! The maintenance crew trimmed trees for two days so we also got to hear that early each morning. We had to buy another septic hose because the clean-out is located in the very back of the space, and it's uphill so the flow isn't that great. Come prepared for that! This park was convenient in location for us and we enjoyed the amenities very much.
The park itself is really nice amenities are great shower is nice pool and hot tub are nice spaces are pretty nice. The kids running through our spot screaming on the street boards we're not nice our neighbors large dog standing in the door barking all day with not nice This happening for 2 weeks straight with not nice The manager doing nothing about it was not nice no peace and quiet was not nice. The adults seem to have respect The people with kids seem to have none and have no rules to follow the park itself is nice. Maybe new management would help. Or some workers that worked I haven't seen one since we've been here and checked in
This park is like all of the ones in the beach cities. They are just wide enough for the rig and a picnic table. However, this park has a fence partway between the sites. Most of the sites are concrete Pull-Thru spots. The campground is situated right on Pacific Coast Hwy and is near to everything, except a sandy beach. You can access a beach with just a short drive. The park has a nice but small pool and Jacuzzi. The staff maintains the park in a very clean condition. The Sprinter light rail train goes by frequently and blows their horn but it doesn't bother me. This is our second stay and we will definitely be returning. You can get packages delivered by UPS.
