Givhans Ferry State Park

Fantastic state park. Located on the banks of the Edisti River, it has easy river access. Great camping for both primitive and RVs, hiking trails, nice scenery. It's slightly out of the way, but well worth the trip. It's also the diwn stream end of the river route that starts at Colleton state park just a short drive away. Seend like a great trip down a black water river.

Amazing state park. Went for a day trip, will definitely be returning for some camping. Nature trail was beautiful, campsites were clean. Restrooms clean as well. The main building was super nice as well. Loved the playground for my daughter.

We love this park! The campsites and cabins are pristine, the river access is convenient and the nature trail is truly beautiful! And of course we love the annual Edisto Blackwater Boogie!!

RVing from February 18-19, 2026. A nice well kept State Park. Very quiet and not far from Colleton State Park. The two park rangers, Christina and Tina, very very nice and full of knowledge. There is a walking trail at the end of the park area. Easily accessible by bike or walking. Plenty of open spaces at this time of year.

Beautifully blessed place to rest your head overnight camping or get off the grid for the day. Excellent staff and management. This state park has my 10 stairs. Also, down river tubing in the summer months. Nice long wooded trails. Also has its own country store. Also, It has an off the beaten path beach area on the river.

This place is amazing!!! We had the camp site closest to the bathrooms!!! As the only girl in the group it was important!!! December camping is iffy sometimes... The pantry box is awesome. It is so nice to have a place to put your food away. Organization is key to the camp cook!!! Sites were clean, bathrooms were clean. Dave was an awesome camp host!!! Thank you to Micha and Tammy!!! Y'all were awesome!!! And the Ranger with the stars!!! Please forgive me, I remember the stars!!! We bought some merch at the store and we will definitely be back!!!

Cute little state park with a pleasant 1.5 mile trail, river views, and boat launches. I want to come back and paddle down the river. The riverfront CC cabins are lovely. Tina was super helpful. It is a TINY state park. But a wonderful pit-stop if you’re not paddling.
