Customer Reviews
Candlestick RV Park has a rating of 2.8 out of 5 based on over 420 reviews on Google
If I could give this place "minus Zero" stars, I would. It's absolutely deplorable. It's location is the old parking lot of Candlestick Park. Most of the people there are the "marginally housed".... working people whose families live in the small campers and 5th wheels full time. The spots are packed very tight. If you have a slide out, your slider will be within INCHES of your very close neighbor. Lots of kids playing ball and bikes and scooters in the lot. All the residents are polite and pleasant. I never felt in danger, however, the "gate" to the park was never closed, so not secure. There is razor wire atop the perimeter fence, so there's that. The womens bathroom was exceedingly clean. The lady who cleaned it took great pride in her work. And it showed. However, there were 7 showers, and only 1 actually worked. To say, overall, that this place should be avoided at all costs. Drive further south. Stay in Santa Cruz. Don't stay here.
For the price they are asking, you better find another place. Essentially, its an overcrowded parking lot, located in a bad part of the city. A very dirty part of San Francisco with homeless. The Wi-Fi is not working in most parts of the park, when I sent a mail to ask to fix it, it took them more than 24 hours to reply, not before i sent another mail, and instead of trying to help, they replied I was the first one to complain... unbelievable. When you get there you need to find a place to park, no one assigns a spot for you even if you booked ahead. Its hard to find a vacant space that will fit a rv longer than 20 feet. Hard and narrow to maneuver the rv into a narrow slot. People here just park wherever they can, including parking cars in rv slots (because there is no other place). Attached some pics for demonstration. I do not recommend. It's a mystery how this place maintains an average rank of 3 stars. Who are the people who gave this place a good review?
Because of the bad reviews we decided to skip this park but we needed to stay overnight in this area and therefor still picked Candlestick RV park. I first called for an available spot and was helped friendly, after that when we drove in we got helped friendly at the office. We had a nice back-in spot with enough room. The bathroom was large with pretty clean toilets, sinks and showers. The only thing that should be cleaned is the air filters. They offer an extra service for transfer but you can take an uber to the piers for just 10$. For a 1 night stay with rv with 2 adults we payed almost 100$ but that is because of the location.
Very packed in. Glad I had a small camper. You take a step out your door and can touch the next camper. This has been the most I've paid to stay anywhere though. I never felt unsafe even though it was in a very run down area but definitely will not be back.
Well candlestick's been closed not open for business so I gave it one star here's some lovely photos when it was open.. 🥰 be blessed and highly favored in heavenly places
They charge over $2,500 a month for a parking spot in a 3rd world country
We’ve been here since June 4th, at first it was a great place to stay at. It looks very trashy due to all the trailers that just have random stuff sitting outside. So far everyone that lives here has been very friendly, you may hear loud music in the weekends but that doesn’t bug me. It’s the dogs not on leashes that come out early morning or late night and just bark. If you stay in lot 119, have fun with the dogs around you. We would’ve stayed longer here due to my husband doing electrical work out here but last night we heard 6 shots from a 9mm gun go off in the air in front of our trailer and my husband was outside. Thankfully the cops came but the security they have out front didn’t do anything. Also we got our dirt bike stolen once and then they attempted to take it again and found it off the stand but we had 2 bike locks on it so it couldn’t be taken the 2nd time. Some people here are friendly but it’s the people that live here that bring not so good people here at night. We’re going to a new place much safer.
