Very cool place. Took a Girl Scout troop here for an event. Everyone was so helpful from booking and organizing the event to helping all the girls have an awesome time. They were very organized and very safe. So much to do there the girls loved it. We will definitely be planning another event there.
Went there just to walk the trails with my sister! It was lovely with the leaves turning and starting to fall on the ground. Always looking for new trails to walk! We did the little trail, and when we finished it so fast, lol, we did it again! Not a difficult trail at all. And of course the Zoo is right next there also!
Beautiful scenery in the winter months for snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Hubby used to mountain bike here in summer, as well. One downside is that I found it difficult to follow the snowshoe trail map throughout the camp. Would be nice if the trails were marked with stars that say "you are here", so trail maps were easier to navigate. We saw a couple signs that someone put little star stickers on themselves, to make it easier to figure out where they were located. I've been here twice to snowshoe, and got directionally turned around both times. A couple of other people I know said the same thing...easy to get turned around. Probably won't go here again because of that. But it is a beautiful area and plenty of trails for the outdoor enthusiast. And, just down the road from a great pizzeria called Rustique. Both places are worth a try. But if you're directionally challenged, you may want to stay on a straight path back and forth at the camp.
We thoroughly enjoyed our campground stay. Just a 2 night get away with the dog not far from home. Clean showers and restrooms. Sites are large. Firewood available. The picture is of wild raspberries but caution before eating. The dogs have access to pee on them! Heard the zoo animals in the mornings & evenings. Many biking (for fee) & walking paths. Only suggestion is to grade the pad.
I would love to go back in time and camp here with all 5 kids! The perfect camping vacation for any family! Miles and miles of fun bike trails, separate hiking trails. Walk to the zoo, and the adventure park. Zipline, rock climb, or walk the canopy tour. Beautiful, new camp sites, lots of grass and a fire pit, driveways level gravel for your camper or rv. We were in the last loop closest to the zoo and could hear lions roaring in the evening. Short drive to the boat dock where we put our paddleboards in. 20 mins to Green Bay to visit Lambeau Field and the boardwalk style amusement park - open, no entrance fee, 0.25 cents for tickets, rides are 1-4 tickets each. We rode the Zippen Pippen, an old wooden Rollercoaster, it was so fun!
This place was awesome. I thought about saying something bad to keep the crowd down but I can't. This campground surpassed my expectations especially for the price. Everything was new and clean, I can't wait to go again.
Beautiful venue for a wedding and reception!
