Delong Park

Cutsie little park with a walking trail and a great sunset view 😁

Beautiful and convenient escape to nature in the midst of the city. On the trail you are permeated with the smells of the trees and blessed silence.

Nice nature walk with field and wetlands. Great for dogs. No playground or restrooms but these are available in nearby school (playground) and Fred Meyer(restrooms). Great for birding, bunnies, blackberries, turtles, even a barred owl. Close to other wildlife parks: China Lake and Tacoma Nature Center

I'm going to echo what others have said: this would be a nice park if the trail were maintained. The main field is fine for dogs and kids, but the trail gives me such creepy vibes that I don't feel safe walking down there, even with my dog. I've tried to go down the trail twice and both times I had to turn around because I felt unsafe. I won't be going back, there are much better parks in the area.

I’d bring a guard dog. Although this place has beautiful trails and it seems rather peaceful. There are a number of creepy guys doing things. Scouts gone wild in the wild. Be safe. Carry mace.

Lots of bush bunnies, prowlers and homeless camps setup in various places. Daytime it's not terrible but night time this place is extremely creepy. It's nice and conveniently close to both residential as well as business industrial locations with a park on one end and Fred Meyer a on the other. Most of the time people will leave u alone if they have cos setup just as long as you leave them alone. Done are quite friendly even.

Nice park but not for everyone. This park offers great walks filled with wild berries. Enough open space to throw a ball for a dog or host a small pickup game of soccer, but no true open flat fields for free play. An acceptable place to visit, but far better options exist very close, such a Point Defiance Park.
