Emile is absolutely magnificent — the true el maestro at Barry’s. His classes bring that power-surge jump that somehow makes running at 11 feel like an easy stroll in the park. The vibes are always positive, he genuinely motivates everyone in the room, and his playlist? Always on fire. A definite must after a hard week of work. He needs more prime-time class slots. Double-tread HIIT classes with him are my favorite, and Saturdays are always a treat. 💥🏃♀️🔥
Tried both Run & Lift and Ride & Lift. Both classes are challenging, but Run & Lift felt much harder since it targets the lower body(class I chose), while Ride & Lift focused more on upper body. I like that you can choose your weights and pace, so you can adjust the intensity to your level. As a beginner there isn’t a lot of individual coaching for their style since instructors are managing two parts of the class, but it’s still easy to follow and straightforward just in case you go as a newbie in your fitness journey I’m sure if you’d ask for modifications the busy fit instructors would help you lol. Overall a great, high-intensity workout and very rewarding after! Might go again soon when I feel like I want to run threw the burn 🫣😅😭.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such an amazing experience at Barry’s Gym! From the moment I walked in, the energy was high and motivating. The highlight of my session was the instructor, Nick T. He’s incredibly experienced, and you can feel that right away. Nick was not only knowledgeable but also very in-tune with the entire class. He engaged with everyone, making sure we pushed ourselves while still feeling supported. His ability to read the room, motivate at just the right times, and give personalized encouragement made the workout challenging yet enjoyable. It’s rare to find an instructor who can keep a whole class locked in while still making each person feel seen, but Nick T. did exactly that. He turned a tough workout into an empowering experience. Also, a lady checked me in gym, I forgot her name due to me rushing but she was cute, short, and very alert she love her career! Another lady with long black pretty hair, at front desk thanked us for coming In when the class was over, and took our picture infront the WEHO sign I actually love it! I’ll definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend Barry’s Gym—especially a class with Nick T. if you want to feel inspired, supported, and truly pushed toward your goals!
LOVE this Ride x Lift class that combines cycling and weights. Maggie is such a great teacher- incredible playlist and positive energy. Nick at the front desk was so helpful for my first class! The women’s locker room is very nice, complete with showers and hair dryers. There is a protein shake bar that can prepare a drink for when your class finishes. Easy and validated parking garage (90 mins) on Kings. You can rent cycling shoes or bring your own. Love this spot!
Great class! The instructor ( Kyle) did an amazing job — the workout was really well structured and super motivating. The vibe of the class was awesome, and I absolutely loved the session. I’m a fitness coach in Paris, France, and I can say this class was truly top-notch. Can’t wait to come back!
Tiana is an amazing instructor! This was my first Barry's class so I didn't know what to expect but she made the experience super fun and welcoming. The workout was challenging in the best way and the music kept me going - the beat drops were on point. I loved the energy and her demonstrations. She took the time to show me how to do the movements when she saw me struggling. I will 100% book with Tiana again!
The facilities are good and the reception staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the instructor experience was really off. This was my first cycling class. I stood for about 5 minutes needing help to lock my shoes, but the instructor didn’t notice or check that anyone was missing — despite the room being very small. She repeatedly said an assistant would come help me, but the assistant ended up helping someone else instead. It genuinely felt like I was being ignored. At the end of the ride, I also struggled to unlock my shoes and was left stuck on the bike while the instructor moved on. When I finally got off, she didn’t tell me what equipment to grab for the mat section and had already continued the class. Overall, no awareness, no checking on beginners, and no guidance. This could have been unsafe for a first-timer. The instructor felt disengaged, like running through a script rather than actually coaching.
