Nice campground with incredible views of Pike’s Peak. Large campsites, very clean facilities, nice camp hosts. It is a little sparse on trees though, so the campsites provide no privacy. I imagine during a busy weekend, it could get pretty noisy and feel crowded.

This is a great place if you want to get away from people. The sites are spaced out among the pines and there's plenty of room to not feel like you are on top of your neighbor. There are only rustic toilets so you may want pocket hand sanitizer to keep with you. They are very clean however. We had no trouble getting our 30 ft. trailer through the campground, but there definitely some sites that would be too small, so make sure pay attention to the sizes when you make reservations. The campground hosts were very friendly, giving us some hiking suggestions. There's an easy hike to Monitou Lake as well as several hiking paths in the area. I would choose to "rough it" here any day over staying at one of the many of the private campgrounds in there area that may have hook-ups but no privacy whatsoever.

The hosts are amazing! Very helpful! Restrooms / outhouses are always clean, and the campground is also clean. If you grab up camp site 41..42..area! You have a trail to the lake. Manitou lake. The only 1 item to be aware of... highway noise. Other than that! We will be back.

Beautiful campground with great camp hosts. We reserved a spot online, but when we got here, we couldn't level our 32 ft motorhome. Camp hosts were super helpful in finding us a new site that was easier to level.

Awesome experience! I brought my wife on her first camping trip and the hosts made it an incredible experience! Our campsite number was 56 which is one of the sites that has electrical outlets in case you need them, there are also picnic tables at each site. The fire rings were clean and ready to use upon our arrival and if you don’t bring firewood, the hosts offer some for sale. The first night they were smaller bundles for $5, the second night they were larger bundles for $10. Bathroom facilities were always clean and close by. The host informed us that there is potable drinking water available at multiple faucets throughout the campgrounds and that the water is tested every week to ensure it’s safe to drink. I can’t speak for other cell phone carriers, however I have T-Mobile and had enough service to send and receive text messages. Occasionally there would be 5G available but it was very spotty. The walk to Manitou Lake is less than 15 minutes and really added a nice touch to our experience. I highly recommend going here!

Quiet and clean. We enjoyed this campground during what has to be one of the busiest camping weekends in the state: 4th of July. While every spot was full, we were pleasantly surprised that the campground remained quiet and free from raucous party goers. For RV campers, nearly every site requires some leveling. Some are a bit of a challenge to back into. The hosts were helpful and polite, the bathrooms were clean, and the guests were well behaved. Ponderosa pines were plentiful and made great hammock supports for many a camper. The undergrowth is sparse and the ground surface is largely dirt and pine needles. Overall, a very pleasant campground with excellent access to Manitou Park Lake.
