Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

This spa is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! The staff are all so warm and inviting and the facility is beautiful with such relaxing resort spa feel. I’ve tried almost all of their massage therapists and they all are fully licensed and trained extremely well. Massages here are just as good as at a big resort hotel but only 1/3 of the price. AMAZING VALUE! And their skincare services are the best in the area. I swear the Diamond Glow is 50% cheaper than at any other med spa and it works better. So many wonderful facial and skincare services to try with only med spa quality products. This place really is the best spa value and experience in the Bay Area! This review is on behalf of my mother who had a facial treatment here a few weeks ago. The treatment was a gift from a family member and my mom said so, early in the conversation. Nevertheless the aesthetician pushed over and over again for different treatments that she ‘needed’. My mom stayed polite and said no thank you, she was a senior on a fixed income, this was a one time self-care treat etc. This didn’t slow down the sales pitches and spoiled the relaxation element which was the whole point, not to mention negging my mom about her skin and appearance which is pretty great, especially compared to some others her age. I’m not sure if the push comes from management or from the aesthetician wanting to make future commissions, but it had the exact opposite effect where she will never return here and I wouldn’t either. It’s ok to encourage future appointments a little if the client airs their beauty concerns & goals, but the employee also needs to ‘read the room’ and let this type of client relax and enjoy.

This wasn’t just a massage; it was a full mind-body reset. If you’re looking for knowledgeable, talented, and genuinely gifted massage therapists, Sean and Christian are exceptional. I can’t recommend them highly enough and will absolutely be back.

I had the best facial today with Grace. She was so friendly, professional, accommodating and I left feeling AMAZING. I knew everything she was doing and she made sure I was informed and comfortable. Loved it and will definitely be back.

Victoria is the BEST massage therapist I’ve had. The pressure is perfect, and I always leave feeling relaxed, with my shoulders, neck, and back beautifully loose. I highly recommend booking a session with her!

Here is a list of problems my wife and I have been dealing with over the last year with this place: 1) Tried to cancel membership in January. They began charging us again in May without any prior approval. 2) When we tried to get a refund, we were told they don’t do refunds, despite the fact that we were never informed that we’d be charged again. 3) Someone walked in during my wife’s massage. Considering the limited clothing during a massage, this is quite the breach of privacy. 4) No matter what day of the week we call, there’s never a manager at the facility, and apparently only the manager can actually help us in any way. They always promise to have them call us, but they either never do, or they call once at incredibly inconvenient times and never reach out again. 5) Massages are mid. This is only one of a few negative reviews I’ve ever left. I say that just to emphasize that we generally have a high tolerance for crap, but this is ridiculous. Please don’t ask us to call you to resolve this. We know we’ll never be able to reach you. Highly recommend avoiding this place.

Terrible service, mediocre massages, horrible management, and not worth the price. Save yourself a headache and never get the membership. Actually, save yourself and go somewhere else entirely. A 1 hour massage is actually 40 minutes, considering my masseuse is late by 5 minutes half the time and they spend another 10 talking about services or what the massage will be like, then end it 5 minutes early. I’ve been walked in on in the middle of a massage. Once bought the aromatherapy addition and smelled an essential ONCE at the beginning of my massage for $15. Just terrible.
