Customer Reviews
Taiji Massage & Spa (Tokyo Massage & Spa) has a rating of 3.5 out of 5 based on over 118 reviews on Google
This was the worst massage ever. I paid for a 90 minute massage and got 70 minutes. The woman who started my massage kept answering the phone and making appointments WHILE massaging me, so the 70 minutes was with several interruptions. Halfway through, the therapists switched up and a second woman finished the massage. When I went to check out, the initial therapist reminded me that she threw in the coconut oil for free and it would have normally been $10. (You have to pay extra for the oil?!) Clearly fishing for a tip. The experience was unprofessional and shorter than what I paid for, so I gave a minimal tip of $10. The therapist blocked the door and pulled me over to the card machine and told me I had to tip at least $20. It was the tackiest, most uncomfortable display. I would never return, and would caution anyone else. The place is run down. Walls have had fixtures removed, and they never bothered painting. Cheap self-stick wall decor. Broken baseboards. Worn chairs in lobby with poorly laid material over the cracked leather. No matter how good the Groupon seems, it’s not worth it.
I went here using a Groupon coupon that clearly showed a flat rate for the massage. But when I arrived, they added extra charges $10 for oil, $10 for medium pressure, $10 for hard pressure, and a $20 tip. None of this was clearly explained beforehand. The staff were also very rude. I saw them redeem a customer’s Groupon coupon but refuse to give the massage because they said the barcode didn’t show the "red redeemed" status. Even though the coupon showed redeemed, they did not provide the service or a refund.
My and my friend purchased a Groupon voucher, but they refused to honor it, saying the word "redeem" was not written on the barcode in red color. The current Groupon voucher clearly says "redeem" at the bottom, but they insisted it must appear on the barcode itself. This sounds like a made-up technical excuse. The front desk staff refused to properly discuss the issue and simply said her boss would not accept it. There was no attempt to resolve the situation or help in any way. It feels like the business just wants customers to pay the full amount instead of honoring Groupon vouchers. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. Customers should be careful before purchasing deals for this place. Attaching redeemed screenshot from my friend’s Groupon app Whereas I did not redeem on my groupon app as front desk denied to accept my friend’s redeem coupon for above mentioned problem,I contacted Groupon to get refund & got it.
I came here with my girlfriend to get a couples massage and about midway through my girlfriend notices something very strange and uncomfortable. The guy giving my girlfriend a massage was taking way too long on her rear end. Then she also noticed him pulling her head towards his genitalia region. She felt something hard too around her hand and thought it was his phone but after the massage was done she noticed his phone was in his back pocket. my girlfriend told me all this after I had to pry it out of her cause she was so upset and violated from it. The guy was a slightly chubby tan asian guy. If you are a woman do not go here I find it hard to believe this is his first time doing it.
Worst massage ever!!! I walked out while she was giving me a message. Don’t waste your time. They offered a free massage I told them to keep it. I’m upset and extremely disappointed.
My appointment was at 6pm. They didn’t get started until 630. Only did 45 minutes. They asked about a tip before we even got started. We went there for a couples massage. The masseuse kept leaving the room.
LiLi is incredibly knowledgeable with her craft! She’s attentive and accommodating as well. I am grateful to have found her and now she’s helping me on my weight loss journey through acupuncture and helpful workout and eating tips! Thanks LiLi!
