W Austin

Pros: Great location in downtown Austin ,you really can’t beat it. The facilities are nice, and the rooms are modern and comfortable. We appreciated the upgrade they kindly offered us. Cons: Service was noticeably slow and it felt like they were understaffed. We arrived around 4 PM and our room wasn’t ready until about 5:30 PM, which felt pretty late. Dinner at their on-site restaurant was also inconsistent. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive — no greeting and no initial drink order — so we ended up going to the bar ourselves for sodas. The bartender was very friendly, and another waitress stepped in to help and was great. The food itself was good overall. Breakfast wait time was also much longer than expected. Staff however, we're all nice. They just need more staff to support the business Overall: For the price you pay, I expected a smoother and more attentive experience. Great location and nice property, but the service needs improvement to justify the cost.

We checked in late and having booked on Amex we received an upgraded room, excellent! The corner rooms have beautiful views! Our bed was super cozy and comfortable. The shower was huge and the towels were soft. Greyson at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable about Austin. The breakfast in Trace was very good and the staff worked hard to serve quickly. On some evenings, they had live music in their courtyard. Awesome! It’s a music town so be prepared for live and loud music until at least 2 am from neighboring music venues. Put on the noisemaker in the room and enjoy being back out in the world!

I really enjoyed my stay at the W! Amazing staff, and valet was well worth it and easy! Mr.Jeremiah was great. Loved his attitude and willingness to help. Had zero issue with his valet services. Cant wait to come back and stay at the W!

Really enjoyed our stay at the W Austin. The room was very clean and beautiful, as you'd expect from the W. The staff, particularly the bellhop, Edris, was very personable and helpful. It is hard to beat the location, being right in the heart of downtown. Valet parking was a breeze. The pool deck was quite nice and relaxing, though we wished the bar was open during our stay. That said, it was very easy to call down and order drinks from the lobby. Would recommend and plan on staying here again in the future.

We love love love W Austin! Welcome manager Jordan took great care of us! It was a birthday + anniversary celebration and she made it very special and memorable for our stay 💜 it was one of our best experiences! The entire hotel and room are pristine! Been to many but not even all high end hotels can keep up with wear and tear sometimes and I can notice! So I’m very happy to see no flaws!! We love the designs throughout, very elegant and stylish. We had dinner, drinks and breakfast pastry at all the establishments within the hotel and were impressed by all. We enjoyed the place so much we ended up didn’t even go out! We were also very excited that they have a speakeasy, the Blue Room. Beautiful and we enjoyed our drinks and atmosphere. Do make a reservation early and check it out!

Santiago and his team made this stay wonderful. While we had some difficulties initially with our room, no fault of Front Desk, they handled the challenges with exemplary professionalism. It was clear they didn't just want to smooth it over, they truly wanted to make our stay pleasurable. So appreciated! I left one star off the room rating because the first room was so small and so poorly designed that moving about was awkward at best. Strange use of space , super cramped, two people couldn't access the closet at the same time, huge bathroom (without a door so room lit up when bathroom used at night due to motion detector lights )yet cramped bed and desk area. Seems backward. The "desk" was tiny and the space to walk behind the desk so small I had to crawl the ground between chair and bed to not be on husband's video calls, even with his background filter pic on. Motion detector lights are great in theory but not so great for good sleep, especially in f there is not a door on the bathroom! I've worked in the industry for years, designers should have to stay in the room for week with another before they are hired!! Thanks to Santiago and team we ended up in a great functional room and had a lovely time.

Amazing hotel & staff. The hotel itself was amazing but the staff members were so friendly and accommodating. It was very easy to check in & check out. Special shout out to valet staff- specifically Adrian! He was so efficient & professional. I will definitely be coming back to the W.
