During my stay at Courtyard Bakersfield, my personal belongings were removed from my hotel room without my consent while I was still a guest. I received no notice and only discovered this after returning to my room. This experience broke my sense of security and raised serious concerns about privacy, communication, and guest trust. A paid hotel room should be a private space where personal belongings are not handled without permission. Posting this so other travelers can make informed decisions and ask clear questions about how guest property is handled before booking.
The suite rooms have a nice size extra room. IF YOU BRING YOUR PET, BEWARE THE FIRST NIGHT FEE IS $120. and at checkout they added an extra day of city tax, which they don't tell you about in the beginning. Be careful to search other hotels for competive rates on fees for pets.
Positive: The friendly staff, quiet location and property layout. Negative: Breakfast was an extra charge, and not good (Starbucks premade frozen sandwichs) wish this property had a hot tub.
The room was a good size and the staff were friendly. There was a balcony which the dog liked a lot. There is also ample spaces for our dog to smell around on the property. The only downside is the lack of a breakfast buffet
Every employee was very helpful and courteous. The room was nice and having the blackout curtains really helped to rest at night. The hotel was clean and quiet throughout. The Bistro was a refreshing experience with delicious breakfast and dinner options. The bed was a little stiffer than what I'm used to but I was still able to get plenty of rest. Very pleasant experience overall.
This was my very first time in Bakersfield. It was for a quick work trip. The Courtyard Marriott was clean and the staff I encountered was helpful, warm, and welcoming. I would definitely choose to stay there again.
I enjoyed my stay here for a the weekend. The hotel is well kept and clean. The location is kind of central around some restaurants, Costco within 5 minutes drive and Starbucks about 10 minutes drive away.
