This was my first ever massage and I am so glad I went to Bamford. The receptionist in the hotel helped me find my way to the spa, and the ladies in there were so kind and welcoming! The woman at the front desk in the spa walked me through everything in the ladies room (personal locker, showers, where to go after changing) and for a first time spa goer that really helped! The robe was so soft, and the woman who did my 50 minute deep tissue massage was the best! She really found every little spot of tension or knots and got in there. Bonus was getting to pick the oil scent I liked. Relaxed in the lounge afterwards with some lemon water and tea. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and at ease, next time I want a massage I’ll be back!

This year I stayed at 1 hotel for my birthday. My big desire was visit spa and treat myself. I did a unique massage called Balanced treatment. I really liked the combination of different techniques and the professionalism of the massage therapist. The massage was incredible and I was very relaxed)))) After the massage, I spent time in the lounge area, with delicious tea and fruits. There was a wonderful atmosphere with relax music and electric fireplace. The entire staff of the spa was very attentive and pleasant. I also tried that day a hammam floatation therapy. Highly recommend if you didn’t try it before. I combined it with Facial LED mask. Definitely recommend this spa for you if you want to get high-quality service and a wonderful experience, especially for celebrate any occasions. Thanks to all the spa staff who helped make this day so special)))) Feeling excited to come back again)

I had an incredible experience at the Bamford Wellness Spa at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge this week. I had two treatments during one afternoon -- a 50-minute relaxation massage and a 50-minute floatation therapy treatment. The masseuse was amazing - great techniques and responsive to any feedback I had re: pressure. And the floatation therapy experience was so relaxing and wild!! You lay down on a bed that is actually a machine -- I'd say it's a a waterbed meets a hot tub (w/ jets if you want them), but you stay completely dry, and you're wrapped up like a baby being swaddled. Apparently, you get the equivalent of 4 hours of good sleep in one session. I typically have back discomfort, and I felt so much better after both of my treatments. I must also add -- the facilities are wonderful (clean and peaceful), and the staff is so nice too! Also great snacks and nice tea. They also don't overbook the space, which I love; only a few other folks were there when we went. Would 100% go back; plan to be a regular!!

This is my favorite spa, hands-down. This trip I got a massage and it was the best one I've ever had (thank you, Breanna!), as well as a facial - which got me a resounding "WOW!" comment from a friend after!! Everything is so luxurious and calm and lovely. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Spa, but I would say the services aren’t really worth the money. I had some treatments done on a recent visit, and it felt incredibly rushed and mediocre at best. The Spa felt really unorganized as well. Also, while showering after my treatments the handle in the shower broke (see photo) and I was unable to adjust the temperature which was way too hot. Probably won’t be back to this location but the one in South Beach is phenomenal.

My girlfriend and I booked a one-hour couples massage that ended up costing around $900, and it was easily one of the worst spa experiences I’ve ever had. When we arrived, we found out the steam room was closed — something we were never told in advance and absolutely would have factored into whether we booked or not. During the massage itself, the fire alarm went off for about 10 minutes with a loud siren, completely killing any chance of relaxation. Even worse, the alarm’s flashing emergency light stayed on for roughly 30 minutes, basically the entire massage. Imagine trying to "relax" while a strobe light is going off above you. Despite this completely unacceptable disruption, no refund or partial compensation was offered. Afterward, we emailed multiple times to try to resolve the situation and were completely ignored. For nearly $900, you’d expect a premium, seamless experience and at the very least basic customer service when things go wrong. Instead, we got noise, flashing lights, closed amenities, and zero accountability. Save your money — there are far better spas in NYC that actually respect their customers.
