Brooklyn N Wellness - 7th Avenue
6.4

Brooklyn N Wellness on 7th Avenue offers a mixed bag of experiences for visitors seeking relaxation. While some patrons have praised the professionalism and technique of certain therapists, others have reported issues with inconsistent service quality and communication. The facility maintains a clean and calming atmosphere, with notable attention to safety protocols, making it a decent option for those in need of a quick escape from daily stress.

However, the overall experience can vary significantly based on the therapist assigned. Some visitors have found the massages to be aggressive and lacking in technique, leading to discomfort and bruising. Despite these concerns, the spa's aesthetic appeal and occasional standout service make it worth considering, albeit with caution.

Foot massage was good except the attendant was coughing through out the whole thing. They were wearing a mask during the foot massage so I didn’t think anything of it. Then I got a back massage which was alright but they were still coughing. Next day I woke up with a runny nose and sore throat. I think this place is okay just unfortunately won’t come back.

A friend recommended me this place. Unfortunately the experience was bad. ( Again. ) it’s so difficult to really find a good massage therapist in New York. It’s like so many but nothing with quality, or actually acknowledge!! :/

This was legitimately the worst massage experience I've ever had. I did a 90 minute massage and the staff talked the entire time in loud voices. There wasnt even the tiniest regard for their customers who paid for a relaxing massage after a hard week. At the bare minimum I expected they would whisper but you wont even get that. I would avoid at all costs

Had Eric for me 1 hour massage and would highly recommend. He seemed to know how to actually work through the tension in the general back (upper and lower), shoulders, and glutes. He even did my chest a little bit which was great since I didn’t even know I was sore from a push workout two days prior, and I’ve gotten many massages before but no one has ever massaged my chest muscles before. The only feedback is that I told the guy at the front desk I wanted a back and foot combo and my masseuse did not do my feet, however the full body massage really was great. He did rub my face a bit, which I thought was unnecessary from a massage perspective, but it did feel somewhat comforting. Would recommend and would come back.

I have been to the 4th ave location before and enjoyed my time there. I thought I had booked at that location but when sent my confirmation it gave me the 7th ave location. This was THE WORST massage I have received. I booked a couples massage but honestly should have booked two seperate massages if it would have ensured me that the two masseuses wouldn't speak to each other the whole time. They were speaking the entire 60 minute massage. These people are not licensed let alone trained, i was just aggressively pushed and rubbed for 60 minutes. NO technique was used whatsoever. She was digging into my BONES. You even heard cracks, I had to tell her repeatedly to go with lighter pressure. You would think she had a mission to beat me up. It would have been one thing if she was actually working my muscles, but this woman was pressing on my spine and shoulder blades. I woke up with bruises and more sore than when I went in. They barely massages my arms or legs and most of the abuse was taken on my back. To even expect the basic decency of asking if the pressure is okay, or giving a warning before applying the hot stones or towels was neglected. Save your money, save your time. Go somewhere else. And if you still choose to come here, make sure to bring cash because theyll charge a $10 fee on your card for using it.

Came in today on a whim because I had an hour and a half between appointments, am 36 weeks pregnant, and couldn’t stand to walk around any longer to kill time in the cold! 😂 I was not disappointed! The massage was wonderful and the place was very calming and clean. They took many safety/cleaning precautions with the current covid situation that helped me feel safe. Will definitely be back!

Cute place with a comfortable vibe sitting g nicely between brownstones and a nice front garden to enjoy the breeze. I have not had an appointment here yet so I can not review that at this time. But from talking with them, I'm not worried about my 1st visit being anything short of Just Right.
