Love this place! Great massage and day access to jacuzzi, steam room, cold plunge and sauna. Great price and clean facilities. I always leave feeling relaxed and recharged. If you are used to Bathhouse or spa castle, this is not that. No frills, family owned I believe. Not over the top, overpriced or overcrowded.
What a wonderful experience! I had just finished 3 straight weeks of work and needed to destress so I went all in with the body scrub & massage which is $140 (not including tip) for 80 minutes. Fortunately I read the reviews so I knew it would be nude (men’s and women’s bath areas are separate.) It was a wild ride being a first timer, but worth every penny and my skin has never been cleaner or softer. As others have said, bring cash to tip but everything else can be paid for via card.
Been going to this place for over a dozen years without any issues. However, in recent weeks the cleaning person changed on the men’s side. The previous one kept the place impeccably clean and conversed with the customers in multiple language. I did have concerns, however, of his mixing chlorine bleach with Ajax dishwashing liquid to clean the showers, floor, and steam room and dry sauna’s but the fumes never became a problem. Recently, fumes, of a different nature have been coming from a utility room that is adjacent to sleep room and the fumes become intense in the sleep room and in the adjoining men’s bath area. More recently, however, I was diagnosed with a plantar wart on my foot that the MD says comes from the HPV virus and the only way I could have picked up that is from this establishment’s floor, most likely the steam room. So, sadly, I can no longer recommend this place.
Came here for a group birthday outing. K-spas aren't my thing, as I don't like being barefoot, gendered and beaten within an inch of my life when I'm trying to relax. But the birthday boy wanted to come, and it's hard to argue against the $30 entrance fee (massages and such are additional). That said, if I had to K-spa again, I wouldn't come back here. There was a good 10-15 min during our stay when one staff member was angrily yelling at another member at the top of his lungs. I couldn't understand what he was saying since it was all in Korean, but I'm grateful for that actually. Combined with the questionable cleanliness and bare bones decor, I can't imagine why anyone would choose to come here when there are better options in Queens.
The $30 day pass is a great deal for a clean, no-frills Korean spa. When you enter, you take off your shoes and receive towels, shorts, and a t-shirt. The downstairs area is separated by gender. No clothes/swimsuits/sandals are worn in the bath area. The downstairs has a eucalyptus steam room, a dry sauna, an unheated pool, and a heated pool with massage jets. The upstairs area is co-ed and has rooms with heated floors to lie down in. There's also a "cool room" with A/C and TV, as well as a hot sauna shaped like a pizza oven. The Korean body scrub is a very effective exfoliating experience. Be sure to bring extra cash to tip if you get a scrub.
Everything you need at a good price. The staff is very friendly and everything is there for you to use / relax within the day. I've been going here for 4 years and everyone there has been nothing but friendly, kind and helpful... so I don't know where "some" of these reviews are coming from. I really like the fact that they nurse the hurt parakeet birds and let them live freely within the indoor tree garden when you enter the seating lounge. I highly recommend this spa for the price and their amenities.
A great day spa experience for men (and probably women, haven't been to tha side). Best price to quality!
