The Spa at Ravella in Henderson offers a tranquil retreat with a range of services, including massages and facials. While the massage quality can be inconsistent, with some guests reporting unsatisfactory pressure and rushed experiences, others have praised the skill of certain therapists. The facilities show signs of age, with some areas under maintenance and amenities lacking.
The service experience can be hit or miss, with occasional organizational issues and communication gaps. Despite these drawbacks, the spa maintains a serene atmosphere and has potential for improvement. I called in advance to request a strong massage therapist, and the receptionist assured me the receptionist assigned to me had strong arms. At the start of my appointment with Mayra (?), I again told her that I liked it really hard, and she affirmed that it would be firm pressure. It was totally soft, no pressure, and not much of a massage at all, no effective results on my muscles. She never asked how the pressure was. My friend came with me and had the same experience with her massage therapist. I've gotten better massages at much cheaper spas, and this place is supposed to be $160+ full price. I would say it was a waste of money. Also odd was there was a portable fan running the whole time. The whole massage was very disappointing. We only saw 1 other person the whole day at the spa, very quiet atmosphere. There were other minor things with the spa attendant that I won't mention but did relay to Hilton customer service. I kept smelling gas at the pool. The pool attendant said he's called maintenance a few times but they have no explanation, that the smell is nothing to worry about. It was concerning. We moved to the furthest corner of the pool from the building, and I didn't smell it there except a whiff for a brief moment.
I was gifted a Groupon for a facial, from the beginning when calling to schedule it seems unorganized - or maybe like the staff was inexperienced or new? I’m local, but don’t frequent Lake Las Vegas so I called 15 min before my appt to get more detailed directions/location info. No answer. I got to the Hilton early and tried calling again, no answer. Long story short, I was never able to get assistance and being that I’ve worked in service industry for a while, the receptionist should be polished, well presented and provide an elevated experience. The girl at the front did not. I would never pay full price for any services at this spa. As for Groupon - you get what you pay for lol. Facial was OK, she basically squeezed my nose and put lotion on my face while applying pressure. I see why it’s so dead in there.
Stayed here for my birthday. It was eerily empty throughout the entire resort. Went and had a massage and they refused to give me the mimosa. No idea why. They just said it’s because I didn’t have the Groupon? I’m a paying costumer at the resort and I don’t get a mimosa? So weird. The massage itself was "okay" but rushed. The spa (healing waters) was under construction and empty. Could only use the sauna room which had no coals. And the steam room which was fine. But very disappointing experience truthfully.
Such a confusing experience. The massage itself was great, everything else left much to be desired. I can see that it used to be a beautiful spa, but it's old. The lockers don't secure properly, some of the facilities were closed. The towels were tiny. The robe was thin. Minimal amenities. The service was also confusing. I was charged upfront: 10% discount for staying at the hotel and 20% service fee. I saw on another comment that the service fee is the tip, but that wasn't communicated to me. I was waiting in the waiting area, and finally called when it was 7 minutes past the hour. The front attendant was apologetic that she had forgotten about me. She told me that I would get my full service, since the mistake was hers, but she didn't tell the massuse, who ended my massage early because she had another treatment. I spoke up and the massuse returned, but I could tell she was stressed, and I was stressed, so I told her it was okay. I could hear her angrily talking to someone after she dropped me back off in the relaxation room. I would not return to this spa. It wasn't worth the cost.
Great service hot tub in women's spa lukewarm. Great massage from maria
My friend and I had a girls day and decided to go to Ravella since the deal on Groupon was too good to pass up. They were upfront about the spa amenities being closed but said we could use the pool. We were charged a service fee right then which was about $30. I asked if i could pay that after when I pay for the tip. She explained that was the tip. We went out to the pool but when we tried to go back inside the door was locked. We were really confused on how to get back inside so we went through the hotel (it's a separate building). We both agreed the massages were really good. I was dumbfounded when my friend said her masseuse held her hand out and asked for a tip. I really hope that the service fee takes care of the tip like we were told. I'd feel awful. The lady at the spa reception didn't sound like she knew what she was talking about. When I asked her about parking she had to ask her manager. When we asked for water she had to ask her manager again. The pool was very crowded too.
A Birthday Spa Experience Gone Wrong: A Cautionary Tale My intention was to treat my mom to a relaxing birthday massage on June 14th, booked through Groupon, but unfortunately, the experience at this spa was far from the celebratory and rejuvenating escape we'd hoped for. From the initial booking to the final pickup, communication issues, unexpected charges, and facility shortcomings plagued our visit, culminating in a deeply disappointing experience for my mom. When I first called to schedule the appointment, I was informed that the jacuzzi and steam room were out of order, with the alternative being the pool and sauna. While not ideal, I accepted this. However, I was then told about an unexpected $30 out-of-pocket service charge for the massage therapist, which was not disclosed on the Groupon. Again, I agreed, wanting my mom to have her special day. Upon dropping my mom off, a rather unsettling incident occurred. As I was leaving, the receptionist chased me down to inform me that my card didn't work. My bank had temporarily locked it due to unusual activity, and despite my immediate reassurance that I would resolve it and pick up my mom, her demeanor suggested a lack of trust, implying I wouldn't return. This interaction left a sour taste and added unnecessary stress. Two and a half hours later, I picked up my mom, only to hear a litany of complaints about her "bad experience." While she acknowledged the facility itself was nice, the core service—the massage—was a significant letdown. She reported that the massage therapist applied virtually no pressure, making the session ineffective and unsatisfying. Furthermore, she was unable to secure her belongings because the lockers lacked keys, a basic amenity one expects at a spa. Following her massage, my mom was directed to a room where she was left completely unattended, seeing no staff for an extended period. This lack of post-service care and attention highlighted a pervasive issue: the communication within this establishment is undeniably horrible. To add insult to injury, as she was preparing to leave, my mom noticed that the jacuzzi and steam sauna were suddenly operational, after being told they were out of order earlier. This inconsistency further solidified our negative impression. Given the multitude of issues—hidden fees, unprofessional staff interactions, non-functional amenities, a disappointing massage, and abysmal communication—I strongly advise against booking any services here. There are countless other spas that offer a truly professional and relaxing experience. Do not book anything here; there are so many more options available that will undoubtedly provide a much better experience.
