Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa

I was in town for my father’s funeral and was desperately hoping for a good night’s rest after days of exhausting arrangements. While the staff was genuinely kind, the accommodations were deeply disappointing. For $240 per night, I expected far better. The mattress was the hardest I’ve ever slept on, the room felt muggy, and the WiFi was unreliable. At 3am, we requested a room change hoping it was an isolated issue — unfortunately, the second room was no better. These are simply not the quality mattresses or conditions you would expect from a Marriott property. Given the circumstances of my stay and the premium price, I found the overall experience unacceptable. Something else I forgot to mention in my previous review was the quality of the linens. I took pictures of our sheets with holes in them on both beds and can provide them to management. I would not recommend this property and hope management takes guest comfort more seriously. Any stars given solely for the kindness of the staff.

Positive: Room was really nice. Bar staff are great! Negative: Guy at check-in was unfriendly. Gave zero information on the complex which you would expect at a resort.

This hotel was a great place to stay. Nice amenities pool, fitness room ect. And a very nice lounge area in the lobby. The BEST part was the people and service that made my husband’s and my stay amazing. Kat (Cat?) and Mindy went above and beyond in their kindness to the point they made this pregnant lady cry - the good kind! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. 💕

the staff was very friendy and helpful. The hotel needs some renovations. It took three room changes to get a room with a clean bathroom. The first had black sediment in the sink and bathtub. The floor of the tub was caked with dirt. I mean it looked like years of sediment. The second room had black sediment around the perimeter of the tub. The third room appeared clean but had a slight odor. Could be some cleaner or something they were using. Can't rate this hotel high seeing the issues with cleanliness. The tub in the first room was disgusting.

Staying here was immediately a bad experience. When we arrived after the check-in time they said the room was not ready. It wasn't ready until after 5pm. The moment we walked in to the rooms, one if our suites smelled like a sewer. When we told then about the smell, their solution was to come and spray febreeze which was concerning and makes me think that is how they "clean" things, by just covering it up. They allow dogs which we didn't know when booking and there were dogs barking constantly. A hotel room should be a place you come back to for peace and quiet not a place you need to leave because it sounds like a dog pound. The cleaners came in the rooms when the "do not disturb" sign was on which i've never seen another hotel do. When you're booking, it says breakfast is included which is a lie, the breakfast is extra. They also state that theres a mall in walking distance (it's a 3 hour and 40 minute walk). They set a new low and should have negative stars

Do NOT stay at this property, it's awful! We left Nashville around 4:00am for cheer comp and we were there all day. I didn't check in to my hotel until around 9:pm. I went to my room and the air didn't work, after traveling all day we just wanted a comfortable bed and some good sleep. We didn't get that! Upon arriving to my room our air wasn't working and the toilet was clogged. I called the front desk immediately and didn't get maintenence until 12am. The air never worked and we were all miserable and got no sleep. I was also grossly overcharged! Two 25 dollar holds, 75.60 for our dinner at bistro (ligit charge) and another 89 dollar charge we didn't do. They also charged us 18 dollars for water that were supposed to be free. All charges are currently pending, I'm just waiting to see if these changes come off. They can keep the hallways cool, but not the room you pay for!

Do not stay at this property! Not only was I grossly over charged, but our air never worked properly even after having maintenance come in. Clogged toilet, so hot we couldn't sleep, I called at 9pm and didn't see maintenance until midnight. I was charged for the Bistro twice along with the hold for incidentals. All we wanted after a long day was a comfortable bed and some good sleep - we weren't able to sleep the room was so incredibly HOT! Not mention the staff is so rude! Stay somewhere else!!!! They can keep their hallways cool, but not your room!
