A new find for me but in instant favorite and a must stay! Simply beautiful amazing grounds and facilities. Exceptional service especially from bartender at The Tap Room ! So many places to just sit and relax and enjoy. Cocktails and food were delicious. Next visit will include the afternoon tea. Can't wait to visit again.
A truly romantic and wonderful five-star hotel experience. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, perfect for a special stay. What impressed me most was the exceptional service. At one point, a button on my clothing fell off, and without hesitation, the staff member kindly brought me a needle and thread to help. It was such a small detail, but it made a huge difference. The service throughout our stay was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely wonderful. Even when tipping, the staff remained incredibly polite and gracious, never making it feel transactional. This is exactly the kind of hospitality you expect from a true five-star hotel. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic and refined experience.
We stayed at the Langham for a special birthday. There was a minor problem with the elevators, otherwise, our stay was wonderfully memorable. The restaurant had delicious food and great service. I must mention two outstanding people. Mario Leal-Cruz Jr, and Antonio at the restaurant. They both went above and beyond. Thank you for a fabulous weekend.
We are longtime Pasadena locals and have been coming to The Langham for years. We have many traditions that bring us here multiple times a year, which is why it has been so disappointing to see the service and experience decline visit after visit. Unfortunately our most recent visit was by far the worst and has made us seriously reconsider returning. We ordered one round of drinks and a single appetizer, about as simple and low maintenance as an order gets. Yet from the start everything went wrong. Our table was still dirty from the previous guests and no one bothered to clean it before seating us. I then watched our martinis sit on the bar for more than twenty minutes before anyone brought them over. Our food actually arrived before our drinks, which should never happen at a luxury hotel. Our drinks were no longer cold since they had been sitting for so long. At one point we wanted to order another round but our server disappeared for over thirty minutes. I asked another server walking by if we could close out, he said "sure" then completely ignored the request. I finally had to get up and find a manager just to pay our bill so we could leave. For a hotel that brands itself as a luxury property and charges luxury prices, this level of service is completely unacceptable. We’ve loved The Langham for years, but experiences like this make it very hard to justify coming back.
What a marvelous, luxurious place to stay in Pasadena! In addition to the historic main hotel, there are also private cottages by the beautiful Japanese garden. The property is quite large, with lots of interesting walking paths if you’re bringing a dog. Though the Langham charges a pet fee, your doggie gets bonuses: treats and a souvenir bandana, plus a special pet bed and bowl for the stay.
Great place for a quick getaway! The entire staff is very welcoming and there for any of your needs. The spa amenities such as the sauna, steam room and gym are an added plus. Tennis court and pools are amazing! The property and views are absolutely beautiful. It was very peaceful and felt private, the history of this site is one to look into. Location is great and minutes away from The Huntington Library and Old Pas. The rooms are pretty standard, we honestly expected more. Our shower did not drain efficiently, the water was ankle high seconds into the shower. There was no outlets open or accessible for the coffee machine provided. If I'm being extra picky, one of the nightstands with the built in plugs wasn't plugged in either (again no outlets available for this). There is no self-parking on site as well. Another downside was the food sadly. Food was very underwhelming for the value... I personally would consider it very overpriced for what it is. We ended up ordering ubereats pretty often during our stay when we stayed in. Drinks were great, shout out to Garrett at the bar! Aside from a few small things that are easily tolerable, I would definitely stay here again! Everyone on staff and the property is amazing!
Staff very attentive has both fresh water and salt water pool. If eating breakfast or lunch on-site would make reservations at Terrace room. Do not miss both picture bridge and the Japanese garden
