Tocasierra Spa & Fitness Center
📍 Gay-friendly spas in Phoenix
Tocasierra Spa & Fitness Center in Phoenix offers a mixed experience for visitors. The customer service is notably inconsistent, with some staff members being pleasant and others rude. The massage services are a highlight, with skilled therapists like Leticia providing excellent care, though the duration of treatments may sometimes fall short of expectations.
The facilities, however, leave much to be desired. The locker rooms and relaxation lounge are run down, and the pool area is particularly neglected. While the fitness center is well-equipped, the overall ambiance is far from relaxing. Despite some standout services, the overall condition of the spa may deter repeat visitors.

Would not recommend this place at all. Atmosphere - 1/5 Locker Room -1/5 Relaxation Lounge- 1/5 Customer Service - 3/5 Massage - 4/5 The massage and the attendant were ok, but the treatment ended earlier than the 50 minutes I paid for. The men’s locker room was very run down. In one of the showers, there is no way to turn on the shower without spraying yourself or the walkway. I switched shower stalls and the second one was ok. The steam room was also ok. The relaxation lounge was anything but. When I went to get water from their water stand, there was a log strand of hair I got in my mouth. The relaxation lounge gives off stuffy run down doctors office vibe. There were three chairs and no dividers. There were only a few magazines there to read. I usually want to lounge before and after my treatment, but I was ready to leave before my treatment started I was so uncomfortable. Also, the attendants would loudly knock on the metal doors to announce their presence, what seemed like every five minutes. I travel with Hilton properties and usually stay at Waldorf Astoria or at Conrad properties, and the price of this spa’s treatments is only slightly cheaper than a much, much nicer WA or Conrad spa. I would take my business elsewhere if in the Phoenix area.
The lobby and fitness area are fine. However, the pool -- like the rest of the resort -- is absolutely decrepit and gross. The pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, the fencing is falling apart, and light fixtures are falling apart with the wiring exposed. It's an absolute shambles.
Facilities were run down, ambiance was not relaxing or moody at all, massage therapist the first time was good and methodical but the second time the other massage therapist was all over the place, first front desk staff was pleasant, second one was rude. Will not be back again.
Facilities themselves are run down: the hot tub wasn’t working, there were chips in the walls, even tape on a shampoo dispenser. The place itself did not seem outstanding or high end. However, the customer service was amazing! I had gotten the massage/facial package from my husband as a gift through Groupon and had low expectations for the way I would be treated as opposed to hotel patrons. That was not the case whatsoever. I was greeted with kindness and showed a tour of the facilities. I hung out for a short while at the pool before beginning services. I forget my masseuse’s name- but she did great. Was friendly and took care of the knots in my upper shoulders. My facial went just as well! Myoko (I believe) was incredibly kind and had great conversation. She walked me through each step of the facial and her foot massage felt incredible. She caught me taking a selfie and then offered to take a picture- very sweet lady!! Because I had a great experience- the mandatory/ automatic 20% tip didn’t bother me as much. However it’s still not something I agree with.
Excellent for a resort/hotel gym. Good selection of equipment. Never too crowded
I had Leticia as a masseuse snd she was absolutely wonderful. I have had a ton of massages in my life and hers was definitely one of the best. Communicated well about my back pain and asked just the right questions to help me out. One of my favorite things is that she asked at the end if there was anything I wanted her to repeat or anything that wasn’t addressed that I would like her to work on. She was professional, kind, experienced, and sincerely interested. In helping her clients. I highly recommend. Leticia for president! 🙌
Such an unfortunate experience. We booked 2 massages and a facial here for my friend’s birthday. One of us had an amazing experience, one had a wobbly table and thin blanket, and one of us had a massage therapist that showed up 30 minutes late and STILL charged her $130 for the massage. The gratuity is included so you have no say in your final amount. We were supposed to be served champagne to celebrate - my friend got sparkling water and nothing for the rest of us.
