6.4

The Body Bar Fitness & Spa in Pittsburgh offers a welcoming environment for relaxation and self-care, particularly noted for its diverse range of spa treatments and massage services. The facility emphasizes personalized care, with therapists often tailoring sessions to individual needs, whether for deep relaxation or targeted muscle relief. The atmosphere is designed to foster tranquility, making it a solid choice for those seeking a rejuvenating escape.

While the quality of treatments and professionalism of staff like Monica and Connie has earned praise, some visitors have raised concerns about transparency in promotions and occasional inconsistencies in service delivery. The pricing structure, particularly for massages, may not align with expectations for those accustomed to more competitive rates. Overall, it remains a viable option for occasional visits, especially when leveraging gift cards or special offers.

If you are looking for a self care, "me" day this is definitely a great place to go. I received the sugar glow treatment and I felt so refreshed and glowing afterwards! The name speaks for itself. It was the perfect reset I needed! It left my skin feeling smooth and brand new

Do not, do not, do not give your money to this deceptive business! I tried booking services and had promo vouchers. The person who took the information I told her I had vouchers to cover the cost of the services and she said that was fine but we needed a credit card on file so I did that. Then I get here for my services and am told that I can’t use the vouchers after driving an hour to get here and letting them know I had vouchers. I asked how we can figure this out and make it right and they refused to take more than one voucher. It should be noted that the vouchers do have some additional details on the back but it does NOT say this on the front that there are terms and conditions and these were given to me attached to something, and I only pulled them off the card when I arrive. It should also be noted that EVERYONE I spoke to here new I wanted to use the promo vouchers and none of them said anything about restrictions besides that the expiration cannot be extended. Then when I asked to ensure all my information was deleted, they wouldn’t print out a confirmation of when the system caches to ensure permanent deletion and then threatened to call the police. I then informed another customer not to fall victim to their scam and called the police myself as the front desk individuals started to escalated the situation. For your sanity and your safety go somewhere else.

My massage today was absolutely wonderful! Monica was my massage therapist, and she had the music playing, massage table heated, and explained how we would start when I first walked in, asking about the amount of pressure and focus areas. I was just looking for relaxation, so she massaged every part of my body equally. It was very peaceful the entire time. I will definitely request her again! I had previously left a not-so-great review on here about my experience last time I was there with Ally as my massage therapist. Body Bar gave me a chance to come back, and I am so grateful! Definitely a redeeming experience and will continue to come to the Body Bar for many more years to come! Even bought a gift certificate as a birthday present when I left today. Thank you 🙂

I’ve had massages here several times because I either had a gift certificate or coupons, and I don’t go for massages regularly enough to buy into one of their packages. In my opinion, $100 for an hour massage is just ridiculous. There’s nothing special about the massages, and the person I went to in Connecticut before I moved out here two years ago charged me $65 for the same massage. I had the same masseuse every time I went here, and even though I arrived early to my appointments, she brought me back to the massage room at exactly the time the massage was scheduled to start. She came in about 5 minutes later after I changed and got on the table, so it ended up being a 55 minute massage, not a full hour. Also, the rewards for purchasing packages have changed so instead of getting a certificate for a free massage with every X amount of dollars spent on gift cards, it’s now a $15 voucher that you can’t stack. Like I said, I wouldn’t come here if it weren’t for the gift cards and coupons. Other places are just as nice and same quality but more reasonably and fairly priced.

I think the therapist I had ,Connie . Was wonderful , BUT I honestly thought my massage after Connie with a male was at 2:30.so at 1:30 I get a call from a very rude person working there asked where I was and I explained I had written downtime as 3:30.. NO she answered. The therapist came in, I responded that I could come in now and she very rudely , again, said no… and were charging your credit card . I explained again that I had the wrong time written but she insisted that I would bee charged anyway … What happened to polite customer services and understanding that I honestly had written down the time of my appt. I know 1 thing… I will NEVER go there again, and to the manager.. how can you allow the employees to talk to customers the way she did Joanne P

Booked a deep tissue massage. What I got was glorified lotion application. Definitely not deep tissue. I left in the same pain I arrived with. Overpriced. Thankfully, I had a gift card. Unfortunately, they would not allow me to use balance on the gift card as a tip, so now I have a worthless $20 gift card.

Super clean and sanitary place. Great selection of tanning lotions and services. Professionalism and accountability 3/10. Everyone was great and helpful, but the older receptionist lady with short hair and glasses could benefit from some continuing education classes in professionalism. Overall great experience though, owners obviously care about their establishment. Probably will be back but might try a different location.
