I would recommend this place to get along with other people from the LGBTQ community and let yourself out of your shell!🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈⚧️ When I went there last year in the beginning of January I was very nervous to talk to new people especially when I’m always alone and have zero friends which still do now but when I first went in they were very nice and polite and even gave me a small tour around the house and meet very nice people there! Then I started going there to see who I really was and went to the Monday Group and the Thursdays group and at first I was a gay girl but as more I come to this place and going back to the past I finally discovered that I was a transgender man and not a girl and they never have met me as male yet but when ever I go back to Provo to live I would wanna go back and hope to tell the transgender group of how I discovered that I was ment to be a male and not my birth gender. So love these guys!🥰💙🏳️⚧️
Absolutely amazing. I love every moment I'm here. It's a wonderful place to volunteer. They do a great job of building bridges and healing hearts. They welcome you no matter where you are and help you find answers to your questions. They offer lots of community programs and mental health services. An absolutely beautiful place with a beautiful purpose.
Amazing resource for lgbt/allies. Feels very welcoming and loving. Support groups and activities/events for all, as well as super kind staff.
I expect that many who take advantage of the services here are not going to be doing a review. That said, the wife volunteers here quite a few hours a week. I was here last night getting to know those involved and listening to a truly moving talk by Bruce Bastian. I can't imagine a more dedicated set of people in management or volunteers than those I met here. This is a real grassroots facility with no other goal than to support the LGBTQ community and the many issues they must deal with here in Happy Valley. Thanks to all involved.
The counselors here are excellent! They really care. They have counseling for the GLTBQ. They helped out transgender friend and other friend who is Lesbian. These people matter in our community and need to know that there is counselors out there who understand what they arecgoing through. Our transgender friend got help and is a better person and happier now. Thank you for all you do there in every situation.
so usually go here a lot because it's one of the few places that I actually feel safe and today I was struggling really bad that I had to leave work I didn't want to be alone and I didn't have anyone that I could go spend time with so I went to this location I had a good time until around the time that they were closing because I did not feel great I was trying to make something for my girlfriend to like her a lot about to make her happy so that maybe I would feel happy I'm not struggle as badly and while I was quickly trying to finish the staff member that was in charge at the time was very rude to me they tried to ask me to help clean up the stuff that I was using since I was using it past closing but the way that they said it came off as a demand and they made me feel very uncomfortable the location itself is great but I do think they need to be actually training their stuff better to treat people better because people are going there to feel safe not to be told what to do they're going there to be themselves not be treated their audacity to be there is a hinderance to society which is the way that I feel right now this was on January 13th, 2023
Don't trust them with your kids, your money, or your volunteer time. They discriminated against me, by restricting my access to programming, for being transgender, and then hid this by telling me I'm not allowed to complain about it. I am now banned after publicly criticizing the staff's transphobic statements. The staff continue to attempt to cover up what happened by slandering me with blatantly false information. They are now claiming that I violated multiple policies. They don't have policies (or even proper licensing to operate) - they made a specific threat that I had to accept being discriminated against or be banned. That's not a policy, that's oppression used to hurt me. They even word it to manipulate the situation to make it sound like I put the youth at risk. Transphobia and oppression in action. Next time you're there, count how many adult trans women are there, in comparison to all other groups of people. They are exploiting people's time as volunteers when they receive plenty of financial and in-kind handouts. People bought them both the Provo and Salt Lake City properties. They'll receive a ton of money from loveloud and other events. But you'll never see them help at risk LGBT young adults with part time jobs, as all hiring decisions seem to be based on hiring friends of existing staff. They declared war on me, but they're the ones playing victim.
