Burke Williams Day Spa
📍 Gay-friendly spas in San Jose
Burke Williams Day Spa in San Jose offers a well-rounded spa experience with a focus on relaxation and professional service. The membership benefits provide excellent value, including access to quality massages and facials, with some therapists delivering outstanding results. The modern, serene ambience and clean facilities enhance the overall visit, though occasional operational adjustments—like hot tub temperatures—could elevate comfort further.
Located in the bustling Santana Row area, the spa blends convenience with attentive customer care, though minor inconsistencies in scheduling or security protocols may occasionally detract. While not a luxury-level retreat, its strategic location and thoughtful amenities—like the members-only lounge—make it a solid choice for unwinding. Small refinements, such as expanded snack options or improved locker security, could solidify its reputation as a top-tier destination.

I like it here. The membership is a decent deal and they run promotions sometimes. Good customer service. The massages and facials are always at least decent, and sometimes "great" or "outstanding." I think it’s in need of more relaxing amenities that don’t have an element of water. Some snacks other than whole fruit, at least for those with memberships, would be nice. I want to feel fancy with dainty snacks and finger foods lol I remember they used to have some variety pre-COVID. I have never felt like biting into a whole granny smith while winding down from a massage in a quiet room full of other people :/ I just think there needs to be more offered to invite patrons to really spend some hours there to relax. The details matter. This Burke Williams is a good option here, but I wouldn’t consider this a luxury spa when you compare it to other equally high priced spas in places like San Francisco, LA, and Vegas.
Great location and after the remodel is even better! The member spa is smaller but more modern and less crowded, they have good therapists and sometimes they call to make a change if requested a person in particular or the time, so expect that to happen every so often. The ambience is very relaxing, the staff professional and things are clean, the hot tub however is extremely hot unless is the intention for people not to be more than 5min inside.
I have the membership at the spa and it's been worthwhile especially since I found my favorite aesthetician for my regular facials. Having access to the member Spa is great as well. I like to go on weekdays so that I can beat the crowds. And since it's located in Santana Row it's always convenient and I love stopping by my favorite Cocola cafe as well for coffee and a pastry after my spa appointment.
I had to cancel my membership after a long run due to a last straw! Twice I received a call from BW cancelling my regularly scheduled booking - leaving voice mail, due to staff illness or absence. I understand this can happen but why isn’t another service or therapist offered? The last straw was the second time, first time it happened to my husband, that I was relaxing in the hot tub prior to my appointment. A staff member came up and asked me to physically get - out of the spa because she needed to put chemicals in it! No warning, no heads up , just get up and out. I felt kinda humiliated as she stood there staring and waiting until I got up , and got the stairs, "bare ass naked" and got dressed to exit. Humiliating. So I will no longer be paying the monthly membership to maintain services that I cannot use when I attend. Perhaps a 10 min warning , or stepping away while people exit the water may be curious?
THE most amazing spa and treatments ever! Great services, staff and amenities - you could come in without any toiletries or towels and be pampered as they provide everything you need. Camille did my facial and was an Angel - no rushing, you float out and feel and look like you have been pampered - 5 star service!
I love coming here. I love the deep tissue massage and sauna. This last time I went I use the hot tub, but the edges of the tub had some buildup which was kind of gross, but for the most part this place is already really clean.
This place has gone down so badly I feel like I should open up a high end day spa right next to them. Last four visits I had, incidents happened where it makes me to think they are just losing their momentum in the high end spa industry. One of the incidents even involve getting a locker key of someone’s locker which was obviously occupied with all the valuables. I stopped wearing my expensive jewelries after this incident because I don’t feel secure anymore. If members only area has these kind of security problems, you can imagine how things are for the rest of the place. Every time these incidents happen, different managers came to talk to me- telling me the other manager left the company. Today was Dianne. Last time was Brennan.
