Well Within Spa

Drove 7 hours from San Diego to this spa and it was absolutely worth it. Such a welcoming place- hot tea was ready when we arrived. The staff was very accommodating; although we were scheduled for 10, they were able to let us in at 9. The water was the perfect temperature, and the sauna was spacious and clean. We were given extra towels, which was really appreciated. The shower areas were spotless and stocked with shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner that all smelled amazing. Overall, a relaxing and thoughtful experience.

Wow, what an amazing experience. We drove from San Francisco to this hidden gem for a specific reason. Jet lag of 10+ hours over the new years trip really needed a spot that impacts the soul on the deepest level. I was absolutely blessed to meet Laurel with 20+ years of muscoskeletal therapist intuitive specialist with a great warm personality and healing hands. Her work was remarkable and this experience truly unlocked the wellness within. Their spa package was very affordable and very courteous staff. When in Santa Cruz, will absolutely visit this gem and enjoy the vibe they offer. I recommend you to book ahead as they have their hands full =)

Peaceful setting with private rooms. The tub had just the right amount of heat. A nice view, complementary tea & friendly front desk staff.

Customer since their early days on Cathcart. Before covid, a visit to WW was a peacful, healing experience. Now it's a cattle call. Sadly WW owner/management ptactices has damped our enthuiasm for WW. 1 Rude phone manner+generic big box phone system. 2 Bringing us to our room AFTER our start time. 3 ringing the 10min warning bell early 3 - 4minutes. 5 Removed the "Quiet Please" placards. 6 Notice to patrons to please use shower just before getting in jacuzzi is non existent. Such a shame.

Honestly for the price point, it’s a steal. I reserved an indoor spa - Room 4, which had a sauna and hot tub. They provided hot tea to enjoy and even a eucalyptus water spray to pour on the sauna rocks if you enjoy steam. The view into the Japanese garden is an excellent way to unwind. The place is a bit rundown, but I didn’t find it to be "dirty" like others have mentioned

So me and my husband drove to Capitola for a relaxing getaway. We were looking to relax, and I ran across Well Within Spas so we booked the 80 minute massage for the both of us with added CBD and the tubs and the sauna. The people were very nice very inviting. Love the Japanese inspired theme. The Massage was good. I had Sara. I usually always like to do deep tissue, but she is not trained in that. The time that we booked our massage, there was only one practitioner available wh preformed deep tissue so I let my husband take that one but, Sara’s technique was really good and I’m glad I added the CBD because it really hope take away the pain. She informed me of everything that she was going to do and I really enjoyed it. We will definitely be making this probably an annual trip we live about four hours away so we don’t get down here very often, but definitely will be back and I did book a deep tissue massage for Wednesday before we leave the area. I give it 5 stars!

It’s honestly outdated and not very clean. The tubs were scraped, the tiles were gross, there were ants everywhere, and mold was growing under the wooden handles entering the tub. I even found a giant pube on the wall, and it felt more like being in a public hot tub at a condo or something. I went to Tea House Spa down the street a few months ago, and while it was much more expensive, the cleanliness was great, and it was much more up to date. The customer service was okay. I wouldn’t return here. The pictures on the website don’t align with what you actually get. Maybe we just had a bad room, but we were in room #3. Even the teacups were plastic—something made from clay or any higher-quality material would have been nice. There’s even a water cooler that looks like it’s from the ‘90s. Not worth the money imo.
