The establishment is known for its spacious and well-arranged rooms, providing a pleasant stay for guests. The lobby features various sections and an escalator leading to different ballrooms, adding to the hotel's grandeur. The hotel is located downtown of St. Louis, elegant and neat hotel with different Wings. The rooms are spacious, neat, and well arranged. The lobby has different sections, and also an escalator that leads to different Ballrooms. The different wings of the hotel overlooking both "The Arch and Stadium " respectful. The Hilton is worth a visit. I enjoyed my stay, the hotel staff were friendly courteous and respectful.
THERE IS NO HOT TUB! The whole reason we picked this hotel was the hot tub and pool. So when we get there and see there's just no hot tub it was very disappointing. The pool is small and the room its in is somehow freezing. The rooms are not great, the water pressure is awful, there's no fan in the bathroom, lighting is not good, the rooms are short. Im 6'5" and if I stand in my tip toes I'll hit the ceiling in the bathroom. There's no snack bar or anything. I was sent to a vending machine that is not easy to find. It was out of all drinks and the snack machine is way over priced with little selection. This was a horrible stay to be honest. We chose Hilton because of what the name suggests and we may as well of been in a super 8. No reason to ever come back.
We stayed at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is very nice, with a large lobby, an indoor fireplace, and lots of great baseball photos from long-ago players that give it a really cool historic feel. We did valet parking, which made everything easy, and the location is hard to beat — right near Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village, and Kiener Plaza. What I found especially interesting is that this spot is where Fort San Carlos once stood, and the site was part of the Indian battle of 1780, which adds another layer of history to the area. Our room was nice and comfortable, though the bathroom could use a little updating. Overall, it was a great place to stay, especially if you’re in town for a game or spending time downtown.
I resonate with lots of the other 3-star reviewers: the hotel is perfectly fine, but misses the mark on what I'd expect a flagship Hilton to be like. The rooms and common spaces are fine, but leave some to be desired. While they are reasonably updated, the bath/shower situation feels old and run down. We had a door that did not close correctly, a tub that did not drain, and overall the room felt old and heavily used. Parking....eek. I'd recommend parking up front in the loading zone even if you are already checked in online - the parking garage requires a physical room key for some reason. You'll want to run inside and get that from the front desk, then you can park - the garage is immediately west of the lobby area, in a little unmarked alley - it's very confusing. I put a picture in this review to help you! It says valet only, but it's also for self park. With all that said, it was clean, extremely quiet and comfortable, and had a wonderful view. 19 floors up with a view of the Arch isn't half bad!
Lobby was beautiful. View in our was awesome even out of season. (Stadium view) But the room itself was sort of surprising for $250+ per night, view or no view. Curtains were ripped, there was food/drink/something residue left on the headboard, noticeable water stain repairs on the ceiling, and wilted wallpaper. Then, just before 10AM the next morning, we heard a knock on the door. My husband was still sleeping. Literally 5 seconds later before I could get him up to see who was knocking, the door opened... it was housekeeping trying to turn our room... check out isn't until 11! It was a one night stay so there should not have been any misunderstanding about any offered turnover service. I think it was a little embarrassing for all involved, but it was truly avoidable.
I expected so much more from a Hilton hotel. This hotel has seen better days. The lobby, elevators, walls, doors, everything looks like it's taken a real beating over the years. My bathtub was dirty and the countertops in the room were sticky and a little crumby. My thermostat didn't work and was blowing cold air when I walked in ( it was 31 degrees outside) then when I got another room, it smelled like beer and smoke. Went back to the first room and the maintenance guy confirmed the thermostat was old and not one of the new ones and set the window unit to 85. Once the room warmed up, it wouldn't shut off all night so I slept in what felt like the Equator all night. Never needed my covers LOL. Left in the morning and went to a different hotel 15 minutes out of downtown. The girl at the front desk on the night shift was very nice and they tried to help me so I don't have anything bad to say about her. The morning shift rep just stared at me when I gave her feedback and didn't seem all that interested. I will never go to another Hilton hotel. They have gone down so much over the years.
