When you look at the spa's website, they recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early in order to get settled and changed before your treatment. Unfortunately I was right on time but the staff at the spa were incredibly kind as I rushed in. My massage therapist Kyra really calmed me down since I absolutely hate being late. She was so kind and friendly and we just chatted throughout the 80 minute massage. I came with a group of 10 so treatments started at 10 and 11 to accommodate everyone. I believe pool passes were an additional $40 per person plus our group purchased two cabanas on the pool deck. But two of us wanted to stay in robes all day and stay in the spa to read. There are snacks like granola and dried mango available in addition to hot tea and water. We ended up ordering lunch through the spa and ate in a separate area but were able to stay in our robes. To say we enjoyed our time here would be an understatement and now my mother has requested that we come in for her 70th birthday in 2026. Next time though I would want to arrive right at opening and stay all day!
Probably the worst massage I have ever had. And, it cost my friend $400. To say I was incredibly disappointed is an understatement. My body had been so overworked and tired from watching my grandkids that I was so looking forward to this massage. On my questionnaire when asked what pressure I would like I chose the middle one. I did not want it super light and I did not want it super deep, just right in the middle. I twice had to ask my masseuse to please use more pressure, I could barely feel it on my muscles. Each time she was very polite and thanked me for telling her, but nothing changed. So I wasn’t going ask her for a third time to please apply more pressure. That was very disappointing. Then, at the end, she gave me what I guess was supposed to be a scalp massage. It was more like a light rubbing or scratching on my scalp. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard. It was all I could do to not just jump off the table. Several times during massage I thought about ending it early. For the amount of money that was spent I really was expecting something amazing, instead, it was one of the worst massages, probably the worst massage I have ever had. So incredibly disappointing.
They have a woman here names kelly and she works so hard. I was impressed with her. She was all over cleaning and picking up towels. She was great! I also really enjoy the spa. They use an eco friendly brand of brushes and razers. This surprised me in the best way. I liked that they are supporting the environment. Thank you!!
Lanette was my massage therapist yesterday, and it was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had. She was incredibly attentive, taking her time and thoughtfully focusing on the areas I mentioned at the start of the treatment. True to The Four Seasons standard, the experience was seamless, indulgent, and absolutely spectacular.
The Four Seasons Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is the ultimate escape into luxury and relaxation. From the moment I stepped through the elegant entrance, I was wrapped in serenity and warmth. The space is beautiful, calming, and thoughtfully designed to help you unwind the moment you arrive. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and I can’t say enough good things about Mieke Gray, LMT—her massage was absolutely incredible and melted away every bit of stress. What made the experience even more memorable was sharing it with two wonderful friends. We enjoyed a spontaneous and delicious lunch in our spa robes, which was such a fun and indulgent touch. And as if the day couldn’t get better, I was surprised with a perfectly chilled bottle of Prosecco delivered just for me—true five-star service. If you’re looking for a luxurious self-care day, this spa delivers in every way. From the service to the amenities to the overall vibe—it’s truly top-tier. Great customer service, excellent amenities and quality throughout the whole process. Crystal was the bomb with her pressure (arnica muscle relief massage). Secure and sanitized. Cinder House food was great, ordered the honey glazed lamb chops and a plate of mixed fruit along with a glass of champagne to relax afterwards(or before if you choose). Reception knew exactly what I needed after describing my tensions and made the reservation based upon my needs, awesome crew. Will be back for a couples getaway...
I had one of the most memorable experiences at this spa! I enjoyed an amazing facial in the lavender room with a woman named Jasmine who was clearly very skilled at her profession and extremely pleasant. If you haven’t been here I recommend a visit.
