At Vancouver Massage

So, I really wanted to love this place because the location is awesome and it started out fine. But as soon as I was led downstairs, it got a bit odd. The massage room was in a basement-like area, and the vibe was just not what you’d expect from a relaxing massage. Instead of a peaceful, dimly lit atmosphere, there was a giant bright lamp glaring in the corner that made it anything but zen- when he asked me to turn around and lay on my back my eyes were blinded and it hurt I had to ask him to turn the light off. Which finale made it bearable with the little room light we originally should have had. But Here’s the kicker- the massage table was really wobbly and creaky—like, every single time I moved, it squeaked so loudly it drowned out the calming music.. for AN HOUR! It was super distracting and made it impossible to relax. The therapist himself was actually skilled, but he was rushing through the end, and eventually started to hurt from the fast rubbing which just added to the feeling that I wasn’t really getting the relaxing experience I came for and replaced it with irritability. And to top it off… When I mentioned all this at the end, the receptionist said, "Oh yeah, we know about that room." Which just made me wonder why they’d put anyone in there if they knew it was a problem. In short, I wasted $125- I’m still not feeling great. So if anyone has any massage suggestions for me to go to as I’m new to the area…..I would appreciate it. I really hope they fix those issues because this place has potential, but that experience was just not it.

Richard was my masseuse, he was very professional, communicative and thorough. He did a quick interview of my needs and then checked in periodically.

I have been going to this place for several years now and every therapist I have been to has been wonderful. They are all extremely knowledgeable and treat you with care and compassion. I recently went to David and I was mentioning my sore shoulder. He addressed the muscles in that area and that night after the massage that day was the first in a few months that I could lay on my shoulder without having to adjust for pain. Since I have been going here I haven't really had the need for a chiropractor as well. Cant say enough good about this place and the wonderful staff. Keep up the great work. Ed

I received a gift certificate for a 60 minute massage, and what a gift it was. I booked with Wendy, and she worked wonders on my problem areas (neck and back). Furthermore, she is incredibly sweet and a fantastic listener. I left feeling brand new!

I had one of the best massages from David today. Wow, he adjusted pressure to the areas that needed it most, everything flowed easily so I could breathe and relax. He was very intuitive to what my trouble areas needed, movement and mindful pressure. I feel like he broke up some tension that has been needing the right attention for a while. Thank you David and I recommend anyone looking for a very highly skilled and kind therapist, David is your guy. He can give quite a bit of pressure, I did a 90 min massage with medium firm pressure. Excellent, Im your new regular

This was my very first massage, and honestly, it was beyond anything I expected. Words can’t fully capture the mix of relief, peace, and intensity I felt during my session with Audra. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel safe, seen, and completely at ease. You can feel the passion and care she puts into every movement. At one point, I almost teared up— it felt like months of stress, tension, and emotion were finally being released. It wasn’t just a massage; it was healing. Beth did a great job of breaking up issues in my shoulder blades, left hip and lower back. You could tell she really is passionate about what she does and integrated the cupping/hot stones into the massage masterfully. Nice, calm music made the atmosphere feel comfortable right away. Highly recommend giving her a chance. Will be back in the future!
