Grotto Spa-The Forum Carlsbad

Outstanding Experience at Grotto/Forum Spa I had the most incredible 90-minute full body massage at Grotto/Forum Spa—hands down the best massage I’ve ever had. From start to finish, the experience was pure relaxation and therapeutic bliss. The massage included warm oil, hot stones, warm towels, and incredibly intuitive, therapeutic touch. Every element was perfectly timed and thoughtfully applied. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better—surprise spoiler alert—the sugar scrub on the feet was an amazing finishing touch that left me feeling completely renewed. The atmosphere was calm, inviting, and luxurious, setting the tone for total relaxation. My therapist did a fantastic job, clearly skilled and attentive, making the entire experience feel personalized and deeply restorative. If you’re looking for a truly exceptional massage experience, this is the place. I can’t recommend Grotto/Forum Spa enough.

You know that awesome feeling after a good massage? You will NOT get it here. I can see now that the negative reviews are probably true. My massage started 15 min after my appointment time. Yes, I laid there for almost 15 min. on a stinky pillow. Yes, I had to grab my phone to check the time cause it was a Long time. One lady came in with freezing hands and started the massage then minutes later someone else comes in. No one explains what's going on so I obviously looked up & tried to sit up because who came in during my massage while I am shirtless? They switched places. The massage it self was very MEH..I've had way better. Came in w no pain and left with back pain. My massage was 45ish min long and charged 60 min massage. They do insist on the tip. Obviously not coming back. Came in with a friend and she described similar or worse experience. I always read reviews and didnt this time unfortunately.

Had a horrible massage here the other day. The person giving me the massage didn’t seem trained and did not adjust pressure when I asked for lighter pressure. I also felt super exposed and that their bedside manner was not professional. Will not be returning, especially after reading some of these reviews.

I went to this place today. I was vising Encinitas and my lower back was bothering me. Monica was my masseuse and she was fantastic. She worked on my back and I did not know my neck had that much stress. She digged into it and I really appreciate it. I feel amazing. Definitely coming back. I was reading some of the some reviews and not my experience at all regarding the negative ones. I recommend it.

I always have a positive experience. Yes, the therapists don't speak much English, but they certainly understand if I ask for more or less pressure and always 60 mins to the dot. Sure they use disposable sheets but there's hot stones and foot scrub included and prices are UNBEATABLE

One of the best massages I've ever had!! Went for a hot stone massage with my mom for a girl's day and it was absolutely delightful. The staff was professional, kind and knew exactly the right pressure to apply in each moment. Would highly recommend!
