New School For Massage

I’ve been here twice now & both times have been absolutely amazing. The massage therapists are students & are nothing short of fantastic. They were extremely professional, thorough & very very good at giving a massage. I will absolutely be returning 🙂 The price for one hour is $55 and is such a great deal! I have definitely told some friends about this & they will definitely be going.

Graduated last month and loved being a student here! High quality professors who freely share tons of real and varied experience, care about each student individually, and enjoy their jobs. Small classes and all my classmates wanted to be there, were serious about doing the work, and brought interesting life experiences to the massage experience. The atmosphere was overwhelmingly supportive, motivating, and fun. Clinic hours seemed like a pain at first but ended up being extremely valuable experience. I feel quite prepared to go into the workforce. The owner, Emmanuel, is a really kind and generous person who really cares about the school he's created and treats the students, clinic clients, and his staff with respect. He is really invested in helping us find meaningful work after school. The cost was half of the total at the other school in Chicago and I felt like I really got a quality education for the price. I have nothing but fond memories and feelings for this place; it has a lot of heart and soul and the city really benefits from its existence!

Great value at the price and the massage was very healing for my lower back problems. My student Erin was friendly and knowledgeable on what I needed for my body.

I'm one class day away from graduating from New School for Massage and could not be more grateful to the faculty, staff, students, and clients. I've received an amazing education with teachers who are available, curious, and engaged, and the staff for the school and clinic have been gracious and helpful. I learned partway through school that I have a health condition that affects my interoception and ability to stand for long periods, and I was given the resources and time to figure out a way to massage that accommodates the condition so I could continue with clinic and graduate on schedule. Every single person at the school is so incredibly kind - Emmanuel has created an environment that seems to attract good eggs. Even the clients are amazing! I tell new cohorts all the time not to worry about starting clinic, because I've never had a single bad experience with the people who come in for student massages - in fact the majority of the time I walk away thinking "Well that person was incredibly nice!" If you're choosing a massage school in Chicago, I can't recommend New School enough. Emmanuel, Paula, Rafael, Craig, Russ, Robert, Ron, Heather, and Rebecca - as well as all my classmates - have my deepest gratitude for an experience that has genuinely changed my life for the better.

I had such an amazing massage today. My student massage therapist, Jean, was absolutely wonderful — she remembered exactly what I needed and tailored the session accordingly. Throughout the massage, she checked in on my condition with great care and attention. It was strong in the best way, yet incredibly gentle and precise. I could really feel the effort she put into working out all the knots in my muscles with dedication. I’d love to come back to see her again next time.

Fantastic place to get a massage - in particular I've gone to the student therapists on a regular basis and never had a bad experience. Everyone is extremely professional and friendly, and they're well-taught before they even get to you. Usually you can ask if there's any specific techniques you're looking for, but in general they've always been able to take care of any specific areas of focus, or just give a great general relaxing massage. Highly recommended.

The student massage is a great experience and deal. You get to help them practice while you enjoy a massage! My therapist was great - extremely communicative and gave me tips following the end of my massage. I would highly recommend giving this spot a try!
