The Medical Massage Clinic of Durham, LLC

I've been going to The Medical Massage Clinic for a couple of years. I went at first due to severe muscle pain in my neck and shoulders, where I carry my stress. That was resolved in about 3 visits. I've been going ever since once per month as a part of my self care regime. Beth Jenkins is fabulous. She clearly knows what she is doing, always asks about any trouble spots and always I leave feeling like a new person. I can't recommend The Medical Massage Clinic of Durham higher than 5 stars or I would!

I went to the massage clinic after cervical fusion. I had a lot of scar tissue and nerve compression remaining. After listening carefully, Tonya used her manual skills along with her understanding of anatomical Pathology to greatly relieve my pain, which had become unbearable. Physical therapy and analgesic/narcotic were not addressing my pain so it’s no exaggeration that medical massage was life changing for me.

I’ve been working with Beth since my prenatal massage. She’s professional, kind, efficient, and is very responsive to my requests/questions. I liked her so much that I continue to have regular visits after my delivery. Highly recommended!! My mom has been working with Tonya on her neck and lower back pain during her stay at my place. She is very happy that we could find the service here given she’s from a different country. She doesn’t speak English, but Tonya was able to communicate with her (you’ll be amazed how efficient it is without much need to talk) and kept my Mom comfortable throughout the process. I think it requires lots of compassion and kindness and that is a sign for top-quality care. Thank you Tonya and Beth!

Lovely service and location. They are the real deal. Lea is a pro! She is skilled at finding the pain points and is very gentle, patient, and communicative. So lucky to have found Lea!!

Can't speak highly enough of this practice and Tonya Wooten in particular...I have complicated chronic health issues and came to Medical Massage of Durham after several very bad experiences with other massage therapists not wanting to treat me because of this. But at Medical Massage, from the beginning both Tonya and owner Rebecca have gone above and beyond to make sure I get the care I need. Tonya is extremely knowledgeable and supportive, and has great instincts. She's very open and is always willing to listen to my feedback and adjust based on what my body needs that day. Thank you so much Tonya for being so kind after my previous bad experiences... Highly recommend!

LOVE!!! I have been getting regular massages with Beth and Lea over the past 9 months and these massages are often the best hour of my week. Beth and Lea are wonderful -- they're excellent massage therapists, and wonderful humans. I plan to continue getting regular massages with them indefinitely. Thank you Medical Massage Clinic of Durham! You've been there for me during some difficult health stuff and I am forever grateful.

Tonya is excellent. I have had at least a dozen massages with her over the last two years. She gets the pressure right and always responds to what I identify as trouble spots needing extra attention. I wish she had more openings between monthly sessions for the occasional "tweak" that this old body could use.
