Thanks, Dakota Williams, for piecing me together yet again on my most recent trip to Minneapolis. You are so skilled, finding new approaches to my old injuries. Each of the 3 times I've visited you over the past 2 years, I've left your studio walking better, in less pain, and feeling whole again. This kind of treatment is not something I would expect to be able to find while traveling, so I'm doubly grateful. You understood exactly what my body needed. I'll see you on my next trip to Minneapolis!
I loved the intuitive nature that my massage therapist Andrea Potter has while releasing tension in my body. I’m so grateful for her gift as a healer.
I just went to Body of the Earth for the first time and it was just such a beautiful sanctuary space and experience. It's healing and special to find a place for massages and wellness for and by Black and other people of color – such a needed rarity and I'm glad this place exists here in Minneapolis. I went in for a 60 minute massage with Ty, the founder of the space, and he was thoughtful, caring, funny, and, of course, such a skilled bodyworker. He helped me walk through how to get the most out of the massage in an intentional way, particularly given some of my past injuries but also given my stress and mental load. His attention and care to the mind/body connection and the intentionality around the whole experience and space was such a pleasant surprise. Also, the space is cute, plant-filled, airy, and sunny. I left a happier and more relaxed person! I look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
I was surprised with a 90-minute couples massage at Body of the Earth Wellness & Massage to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary—and it was absolutely perfect. The studio is peaceful, and filled with natural light from huge windows overlooking the park, which added such a calming touch. Both massage therapists were fantastic—skilled, professional, and delivered a massage that was both firm and deeply relaxing. It was the perfect way to unwind and reconnect. Highly recommend!
What shoulder pain? I didn’t notice the pain the next day or days later and now. Dakota gave an amazing massage and worked out the pain in my shoulder. I dealt with that shoulder pain for 2 months. I’ll be back! Thank you!
Visited for the first time yesterday and I received a 90 minute Reiki/Massage treatment. The space is cute and has the charm of an older building. A few things about my visit: - the interaction with the therapist felt very awkward. Lack of eye contact, he didn’t seem super confident in the information he was giving, and there was indecisiveness about which treatment to provide first. We were also sitting very far apart during the consultation which made things feel even more awkward. - there was a device outside of the treatment room that kept getting notifications and every 15 minutes or so would ding. - I filled out the intake form prior to arriving and mentioned my areas of concern and preferred pressure level- pretty sure he didn’t read those things because both were not addressed during service. Overall, it was a very average experience. Unsure at this point if it’s somewhere I’d recommend.
