Formation Sauna + Wellness

I love Formation and recommend them whenever one of my friends is looking for a new sauna or massage therapist! I've worked with Kate for over 2 years now and always leave my massages feeling refreshed. She gives practical advice for maintenance between appointments, which I greatly appreciate as someone whose job involves a lot of functional movement! The sauna and cold plunge offerings are top-tier--the facilities themselves are clean and well-kept and the environment overall is extremely cozy.

Clean facilities. Experienced masseuse's. Visited today with my fiancé, we each had a 60 min massage and 90 min sauna session. Sauna session included a cold plunge, private shower, bathroom and changing room. The staff were super friendly and it was 2.5 hours of pure bliss. We will be back.

Initially I thought I had the wrong address because when I drove past the address, it didn’t look like a spa but after walking up their stairs, there is call button for the business. After pressing the button, the door is unlocked. The space is beautiful, serene, inviting, and smells good. The music and environment made me whisper automatically as to not disturb the energy of the space. I scheduled an appointment to spend time in the sauna and have a foot soak. It was right after completing a 10 mile race so I was looking forward to relaxing my muscles. The woman working at the front desk was very pleasant and available if we had questions. I should have notated her name to give her proper recognition. Myself and one of my girlfriends I brought along with me were assigned the sauna room for 2, two lockers to store our belongings; a robe, towel, and wash cloth. We were shown the changing room, shower, and toilet area available for our use during our session. The foot soak smelled wonderful. It was like my feet were in a large cup of tea and I love tea. 🙂 I plan to come back to try out a sound bath session and offered on specific dates.

Amazing experience- hidden gem for sure. Went for a mini Bachelorette afternoon and was the perfect fit. Adorable & peaceful set up inside, great add ons and small touches to improve your visit, and great therapists onsite (worked w Sam and she got rid of all my knots!). Highly recommend and would go back!

Incredible! The owner was very welcoming. The decor and ambience was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. They tailor the massage to best suit your needs and I really appreciated that. Best sauna/wellness spot in the city.

I’ve been coming here for about a year now and it’s become just as important as working out in my routine. Kate has helped me through injuries, headaches, and every day aches, as well as muscle recovery. The space is very clean and brings such a calming energy. It’s my favorite spot in the city to get a massage - it’s like my best kept secret.

Joyce is absolutely incredible — her techniques feel advanced and truly healing. Every session I leave thinking I feel better in my body than I ever have. She heals both body and soul!
