The care and energy I received from Monique was truly a gift. I felt listened to from the very beginning, her office is warm and welcoming. She was patient as I shared why I was there. She is versed in many different healing modalities (massage, breath work, stretching, reiki, and more) and adjusted her practices throughout my session to accommodate my needs (and oh—do I have a lot of needs.) By the end of the session, my whole body was buzzing and I felt immense relief in my body and in my heart. I’ve never had a session like that before, so catered to both my physical body and my energy field. I manage chronic pain conditions and I am neurodivergent—it truly felt like a session written for me by her loving hands. She also offered time for reflection and journaling afterwards, so fun and helpful to do right after before going back out into the world. I was impressed with her knowledge and honored to sit with her wisdom. Highly recommend working with Monique, some truly do have a gift for healing (and she was really cool to talk to.) I feel lucky to have received from her. I look forward to the next session.

I have been carrying trauma all my life. Although I have seen many therapists, no one has been as effective as Monique from Dare to Heal. She just doesn't "listen." She is "proactive" in teaching the skills to deal with those negative thoughts and/or feelings and helped provide the tools to turn them into positive ones. Of course, I had to be open and willing to go through the process. I had to learn to let go and allow my body to make peace from all the pain it remembered. Had my first session with Monique today came in to a very relaxing and peaceful space. Monique is thoughtful and kind she is also very strong in her body work. I didn’t realize how tight I was and until she started working on me. During the reflection part of the session she said things that hit my heart and made so much sense. Monique's service and care for her clients is unmatched. I have been going to Monique for monthly massages for 4+ years now. She is a super versatile massage therapist who adds in cupping, CBD cream, and even reiki into my session for no extra charge depending on what I and my body needs for that session. I also love that she is trauma informed and has the ability to incorporate my spiritual journey into our sessions.
